What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

cpe-rmm and whiteline swaybar

I hate to break it to you, but that's not the CPE rear motor mount. It's the rear differential mount. Hopefully that's what you intended to buy. Just thought I'd mention that!

lol. yea just caught that. its too early for me. i already have the cpe rmm.

Have fun with that install! That RSB is a motherfucker!

Are you lowered at all? If so, consider doing some grinding to the tab if you put it in, since you'll be subject to the clunk otherwise.

EDIT - you are, just pay attention to the clearance between the LCA and the end of the RSB.

yep i already have a friend who has his RSB installed. so all covered on that end. also i have access to a lift, so it wont be too much of a pain.

Spent a few hours cleaning my car real good. Put in the summer matts, (love the mazdaspeed 6 ones) and did a good job on the exterior too. Next, tackle the rims...

I love the stock speed 6 rims, but damn spoke rims suck to clean... lol.

That brush looks like it would work pretty well... I actually might look into it.

Those "mazdaspeed" rims look sweet, I haven't seen those before.

Lots of talk about rims tonight, so I'll throw in. I got my rim back from the repair joint. When they initially tested for the extent of the bend, they determined that it rotated more like a DA orbiter, and less like a wheel. That took care of my bearing concerns.

Rides smooth and straight again...$100 well spent. Time to detail!

i've been trying to find a set of wheels lately since i got a inch long bolt in one of my tires wednesday at work, plus they are really close on the wear indicators.

i figure if i'm looking for new tires, i might as well try to find a set of wheels at the same time.

Im in the same boat supra. But I don't want to get springs and nice wheels + wheelgap = still ugly.

Ever since I launched my car a couple weeks ago there is a creaking sound when I let out of the clutch to get the car moving. Not that it is the clutch but the sudden torque on the tranny to get the car going. It was just doing it when I would back up in reverse. Seems like something is coming loose. Sounds like its from the transfer area. May start a thread on this if the problem persists.

Went and bought some oil today. I called up Race Roots this evening and talked to them. They apologized for the delay. He actually stayed after today to get me a revision sent to me.

Washed the car with dish washing detergent. Clayed the entire car. Bought some new microfiber towels and 3M car polishing compound. So far I have done the hood and the roof. Came inside to take a break. The hood looks amazing. I was surprised it took all of my water spots right off of the paint. After I got the front and rear and both sides. I will polish it again with a paint cleaner and then put on a sealer. Followed by a couple coats of wax. I have never polished my car since I have had it. Also put on my new custom lisence plates yesterday. :)

Ahh... I can't wait for the first dish detergent>clay>polish>wax of the season. My shoulder hurts already just thinking about it...

What did you get for plates?

well i'm loving the H&R springs, car looks so much better with very little wheel gap. i've always been picky with wheels so it will probably take me a while to choose something i'm sure.

washed the car today, looked really good, put another coat of wax on it.. so thats 4 coats (lol2) (yes) lip is almost done, lowering it on sunday.. cant wait for that, SPC ball joints going in as well. pics to follow

I would love to get springs don't get me wrong. But I would need to pay a shop to do them and im most likely getting rid of the car this year. Shop would charge over 150 bucks probably.

Got the car polished up. Put on a coat of meguires sealer. Then started on the wax. Did 2 coats on the roof and hood. I need to finish up the sides, front, and rear bumper in the morning. I got the paint so bare it was sucking up all the wax I was putting on it. May do a good 3 or 4 coats on the whole car. My paint was so nasty. Especially the rear bumper. Looks like a brand new car again.

Now that I can't say. :)

Qwik, what products are you using?

I typically do two coats on flat surfaces like the hood, roof, etc. since things tend to collect there. Clay, polish, seal, wax, and you're good to go. I'll be doing my car next weekend with the new goodies that are on their way.
