What have you done to your MS3 today?

Used AP's are going for $450 now.

Yes, they are.

To tell you the truth, I have not been real impressed by any of the dyno numbers I have seen for AP stage 1/stage 2 maps with basic bolts on's (no downpipe, no replacement TMIC or FMIC). Add to that that the selection of OTS maps from Cobb is kind of limited. I am sure that lots of people have good results with thier Cobb products, but I decided to go a different way.

I like thier latest dyno chart better (now that they added programming to support intakes/exhaust). Looks like goodness to me.

Looks pretty much like a ~Stage 2 Cobb dyno, no? (dunno)

I'm not bashing this new tuning solution, but I just want it to be clear that it doesn't look like they're doing anything that can't be done with an AP.

on a side note... anyone know what a stock MS3 gets on a dyno? i've researched it several times and found numbers that range from 212-259. i'm curious what we are actually starting with...

from what I've seen, average seems to be around 240's hp and 270's tq. But that's from looking at typical comparison charts provided by companies selling parts (i.e. stock vs. injen intake or txs dp). But not sure how reliable those are. (dunno)

Edit: I just went back and looked at a few, and the numbers actually look a little higher than I remembered.

hmmm... 240/270 seems generous already. i had a chance to dyno my MS3 in stock form but i didn't do it. maybe i should have just to satisfy my curiosity.

Same here. I could have done it this past saturday for $20 (3 pulls with a/f); but passed. Now I'm regretting it. Though, mine isn't in stock form anymore.

i did an almost stock dyno at UTI once (had a drop in K&N filter only) and i was getting 255-260hp on 3 pulls. no torque because of the intercooler blocking where the cable was supposed to go over one of the spark plug wires

Got my Goodyear Eagle GTs mounted yesterday. Veryyyy nice. ^_^

They have been fantastic in all the rain we've been getting since yesterday afternoon.

Eagle GT's are bomb. Very good traction. :)

So back to the topic........what did I do to my MS3? Nothing, but I dropped her off at the shop to get the rear end and front bumber fixed.

This weekend while washing the car, I noticed a "bubble" on the bottom of the front bumper, and the left side where the bumper meets the fender was not flush anymore, and was knocked ajar a bit. So naturally I vented to my gf about it thinking some jackass must have backed into me or something. Then she says "oh, that must have been what happened when I pulled up too far in the parking lot at the store". (headshake <--that's about all I could do.

I put down 200 on a mustang dyno stock at the wheels. Dyno jets read higher than mustangs do.

installed my PG fmic kit, black pipes, black core on a black Speed3
