Speed3 Install Log

I just touched myself... and it was good

Very nice work.
and to start from the metal out KUDOS

Thanks dude. I just figured I would post so that others might get an idea of the process of a build. Hopefully others will see how easy it is to build the kicks and give it a shot themselves. I still have full use of the dead pedal on the drivers side with the speakers in the kick.

You can still use the hatch as well, all you realleay lost was the spare

nice

You used an 8" driver in the door???? WOW!!! So do you think my 6.5" driver from an Alpine SPR-17S set will fit without modification? It has a beefy magnet on it. 2.75" mounting depth (or something around there, I don't remember). This is why I am delaying pulling off the door panel. Just to find out I will need some form of modification. If you have any suggestions, please, let me know!!!

Only lost the spare. I have a cover for everything when I want to put luggage or something in the back. I have a truck for when I really want to haul something.

You will have to build an adapter ring or buy one from crutchfield or someplace. I had to modify very little to get the 8" into the door. Shaved a little here and a little there(gah)

You have to build a MDF ring for your midwoofers. This are the ones for my Focals, with rainguard, white paint and some SecondSkinDamplifier.
