So i was curious if it was possible to fit the new hood from the 2010 ms3 on a 2008.5? and if that would help any getting more air to the whimpy tmic? and to be honest i think it would look pretty sickk with a hood scoop :]

oh yeah its a direct swap so is a ls3 camaro drivetrain it bolts right up, and is totally plug n play

I doubt it will give noticable benefits compared to the stock setup which has ducts designed to flow over the IC.

I'm going to put a '79 Buick Riviera hood on my 3

you can do it but it requires some controlled burns to clear away some of the excess metal

Just as a side thought, it would be interesting to know if the new hood scoop flows any better/differently than the current grill ducting. I seriously doubt it would be enough of an improvement to warrant the cost of swapping, even if it were possible. You'd probably get a decent FMIC with less cost and work, resulting in far better charge air cooling.

Hate to burst all your bubbles but I got it to bolt on no problems. Just made new brackets.

Now to get it to close.
