sopranos, Entourage, six feet under, OZ, sex in the city, Curb Your Enthusiasm, John Adams, Rome, Band of Brothers.... seems like everything HBO touches turns to gold doesn't it? Can anyone name something horrifically bad they've put out?

i watched the first episoide, but then got tired of wwII tv shows. BB was enough for me.

it's in the WWII setting, but the pacific/Japanese scene instead of the Europe one.

im enjoy the pacific.

its not that they touch it it turns to gold but its that they put time and money into the shows and they arent looking for the next "hit" they are looking for a good quality show and alot dont hit till teh second season.

such as oz, sopranos, and a few others. HBO was smart because they replayed the first season before the second and everyone who heard about it at the end of the first could ketchup and be involved in the second season.

I love HBO just for the shows.

that's pretty much what I was saying, if there was a catchy metaphor for 'they put time and money into the shows and they aern't lookin for the next "hit" " I would have used it.
