It's that time of year again... I've been to the NY Auto Show for the past 3 years and I'm headed back again this year. It opens on April 2nd and since I already have it off for work (Good Friday) I head down there. I take the train from somewhere in CT, location can be negotiated, earlyish in the AM and stay for the day.

Anyone interested?

Here's more info:
For a "limited time only" tickets are $12 instead of $14 (not sure how long that will last).
Edit: Group tickets are $12 but you must buy 10. (They went up in price since I posted?? Weird..)

Here is a Schedule of Events
The show opens at 11 AM.

I usually go with my father in law.

Last year the wife and mother in law went around NY while we went to the auto show.

I'll probably be going that day though.. I usually take metro north out of Fairfield.

Quite possibly in for this. I've got Good Friday off and I'll already be close-by at my parents house. I'll keep you posted

I'm in. I'll be taking the train in from near my parents house. Is there gonna be any issues with getting in on the "sneak preview" day as opposed to a regular show date?

I've always gone on the "sneak preview" day. I'm not entirely sure why they call it that?

That might be the case. I know they needed all the help they could get. Last year's show SUUUUUUUUUCKED.

Maybe since sometimes not all the cars are there?? so its like a teaser?

Anytime I've gone, all the cars are there.

Last year I was extremely disappointed to not see the Bumblebee camaro on the first day of the show. It was still on its way. So yes, it is possible for cars to not be there, it's just whether or not you know if a particular car should be there.... I actually went and asked about it because I was shocked they didn't have it. Detroit did... why wouldn't NYC. Then I pouted for the rest of the day... lol.

There are some exhibits that they don't set up until farther on into the show.. they have them listed in the schedule of events. All the main things are set up and open though.

Um... I don't know when you went Jenn, but I went the first day last year and... um...

see what too much mike's harder does to you, kids?

it ruins coordination (especially when playing football) and destroys your long term memory.
