P2006- Intake Manifold Runner Stuck Closed Control Bank 1

anyone ever gotten this code? i work at an automotive shop, and none of the tech's that i work with have heard of this code. the light just came on last night. been shifting at 3000rpms only the past 2 weeks.

Hmmm, I'm surprised an automotive shop with several techs have never heard of it or done any related repairs. It's pretty simple actually. It says your VTCS (Variable Tumble Control System) actuator is stuck closed. Could be the vacuum servo, could be the solenoid connector off, linkage could be stuck from crud accumulation/broken, etc.

Practically every 4 and 6 cylinder engine made in the last 5-7 years have some form of variable induction system like the VTCS. Mazda calls it VICS (Variable Induction Control System) on some models that have a slightly different design.
