Well, I can finally tell you guys what I've recently been assigned to.

Jenn, the bomb that I said was dropped on me the other day... yeah, this is it. Now... reason being is this. It's going to require frequent travel to Lynchburg, VA (which is where I'm at now) for meetings and reviews and such. I was told that I'm one of a few "support engineers" for the lead on this project from my department. Here's the problem... in order to work on this, one must sign a few papers and attend the QA training associated with it. I have. I'm the only other one besides the lead who has. Theoretically, I'm the only one in my department who can help on this. My boss, being an idiot at times, doesn't realize this and is probably going to get himself in a metric butt-ton of trouble if he tries to bring someone else in to help.
Pros:
-working on what could be really huge for the future
-this is a lot of work and requires a lot of learning, but being trusted to do it is cool
-constant travel to Lynchburg... right next to a college campus (and the girls are attractive)
-rack up my hotel and rental car points.
Cons:
-this will be a s*** ton of work on top of my regular work
-each regulations manual is around 800+ pages
-did I mention frequent travel?
-I am already overwhelmed.
