xDJ DUBx's 03.5 Pure White LX-T

Those mounts look good Greg. I want to replace the rear mount. I know its a b**** to do but I think it'll make a big difference. Your looks sad lifted up like that. Looks like its taking a piss.

Bah, just realized that the "full" AWR set doesn't include the trans mount on ProtegeGarage... I am not a careful reader. (headshake

I'm gonna throw out a question, maybe you guys can clarify my thoughts on this... When I go to do the rear mount, would it be a bit easier to change the sway bushings right there also? Or its not really any different? I was thinking maybe I could maneuver stuff around and clear up space there some how and knock out 2 birds with 1 stone, so to speak.

I don't really see how you could get at the sway bar bushings from the top of the engine, but maybe I'm missing something.

the 2 parts are unrelated. both jobs suck and thats about where the similarity ends.

you can do the mount from the bottom. its more... combersome, but it can be done.

Well, one saturday in April is hopefully going to be dedicated to replacing all 4 mounts and the front sway bushings. Should be a hoot. (nana)

i dont think one day is long enough to do both lol
the rear is pretty difficult, so if u have any PB blaster, just go ahead and spray the bolts down now so they can soak for a while

if you have an impact it makes it a ton easier too, i did the front in like 2 minutes

All the mounts except the passenger were undone last spring when I swapped in the new transmission. Shouldn't be an issue. It's the bushings that worry me, I'm not looking forward to running into problems, because I refuse to drop the subframe, lol. Had to drop the rear subframe f'ing with the rear sway a while back and ended up having to drill out two broken studs.

Impact doesn't help if the bolts are completely seized, lol. Just breaks them faster.

That and I'm gonna take the opportunity to finally install the NSN thermal spacer I've had sitting around for 6 months when I pull the IM for the rear mount. This is going to be a good spring. :)

*Also going to clean and re-spray my wheels I think. Can't decide how I want to clean them tho. Thinking about getting them bead-blasted... Any thoughts/experience?

if you want to respray them with just spray paint i would just sand them down
but if you actually want to powdercoat them or somethin like that then get them media blasted

lol, ya its just gonna take soooo long I feel like... Maybe not. What would be the best tool to sand the wheels down before i finished by hand sanding? Maybe I'll just do it all by hand...

So many projects adding up for the next few months... (naughty)

If you want the full mounts, go through AWR's site or Cross0ver, I would of went through AWR's site but I was gonna have to pay $37 in tax since it was CA to CA.

seriously guys, knowledgable though he is, I think its very distasteful to be sending business his way here after he deliberately avoided supporting this site while he conducted business here.

I'm looking at getting some xpel headlight overlays but got priced at $50, a bit steep just for some added protection but I want my headlights to stay mint. Thoughts?
