The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

he took off some parts to switch to his msp, then sold the p5 and went back to stock in the msp and is now trying to build the msp again. I think the msp has been for sale the enitre time

So random question, maybe you guys can help me out. I need some new rear sway bar brackets. One of mine broke last summer... I've been looking around online, and haven't found anyone that sells just the brackets. And I highly doubt I will be able to find an MSP or MP3 at a junkyard to get them from. But I will probably make a some calls just to check. I would guess that I could probably get them directly from Mazda. But Mazda will probably charge like $60 bucks for the pair or something stupid, but I guess I'll give them a call here in a couple weeks.

Do you guys know of anywhere else I could get them from? Or if there's an alternative I can use? Maybe brackets for a different sway bar? As long as they fit the bushings, I guess that could work...

I've got a decent to-do list racking up for the pro this spring/summer.

I don't think mazda charges that much for them.

are there naked people in your avatar?

Almost... :)

Not the board I have, but they do look pretty sweet in person, lol. 540's with a spinning half-naked chick will make you smile. :)

Burton snowboards, their "Love" line. Love skatepark, in Philly, is a pretty famous skatepark. Ever seen this sculpture? I think the original is in NY (That is the sculpture below). Where the influence came from. There are several replications of this sculpture around the country & world.

Fair enough, I'll give them a call in a few days. Should have my tax return in a couple of weeks, hopefully. :)

i miss your p5.

so clean.

what happened to it?

i wish i could have bought it. but i really dont need another p5.
LOL, I was trying to sell it for like 4 weeks! But thanks - I actually miss that car a lot more than I thought I would. I still have my photograph from Midwest Mazda Fest last year and it makes me sad :(

But yeah, I sold it to dtsmsp03 pretty much as-is last June (June 12, I think). I kept my AEM gauges (still have), Sparco Torino II Seats (still have), Enkei RPF1's (sold to Lewis7789), GT-Spec trunk cage (sold to Kudakev) and I couple of other odds and ends that I've either sold and thrown away. From what I understand dtsmsp03 kept it for a while, then parted it out and sold it. In a way, I'm kind of glad she went out that way - at least I know there isn't someone out there driving the car I BUILT!

The RX7 is a fun car - I'm just not really into it yet (haven't done much). I do have a 50+ lb box of "go lower" parts on its way though :D

...and no, I will not be slamming the RX7

top gear FTW, too bad the one they showed is old tho.

Ahhh! I didn't watch it yet! Ya spoiled it for me... heh-heh. They are all a year old anyway, you can watch new episodes online, but what fun is that when your room mate has a 42" plasma tv and surround sound in the living room. Muhaha!

And I'm pretty bummed I didn't get to see Jon's epic P5 in person before she was sold. But I agree with you, it would be weird seeing someone else driving the car YOU built. It would be like someone saying saying your ex-girlfriend is awesome in bed because of all the tricks YOU taught her.

Or you could DL them in Hi-Def to a portable HD & just watch the new episodes on your 42" plasma...

But this is the truth... (drinks)

Shawn White should have used one of those boards in the Olympics. Would have been supper nasty then.

Maybe I understand what you guys are saying about the ms3 ppl this is so non functional. The first pictures look good besides the blue bandaid looking s*** on the hood. http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123768197 (hand)
Some of my favorite quotes from that thread:
...wider wheels normally go in the back, who cares about funtion
listen to mr 12 post here...lol. He doesnt track the car, so whats the big deal. Its all about the look, and thats what he likes. Its a personal choice. Get out of that 90s mentality and progress with the times...
lol ok mister wheel police. i didnt go 18x9 because its been done before and ive been wanting to see if x10's could fit on this car plus these wheels are pretty rare. even more rare than my previous advans so whatever fitment it came in, im gonna snatch it up. lol you apparently know a lot about cars but dont know anything about style and what im trying to accomplish with this car.

LOL i know right. mr functionality over here. if hes guessing that those are my tire sizes, hes gonna freak when he sees the real sizes.
oh jeez, u have much to learn

This is pretty much the reason I dislike MS3 owners/the direction this forum is going...

This place isn't all bad... Peep this, a little progression, lol.

Emphasize the fact? You ashamed of your fwd? lol And besides, more grip with the drive wheels is functional. Probably the only functional thing that's ever been discussed in this thread... (lol2)

Baby steps.... (rofl)

zoomdoom, i cant really blame him for that. his hood got hit and theres no paint under it. so its just keeping it from rusting out.

That's what I assumed as well. There are however, less conspicuous ways on covering it up, LOL...

6500th post (rockon)

who cares about funtion
That was my favorite quote too. I don't really care for that member. He posts a lot ont he P5 forums about breaking his motor, and wonders why when he didn't have a filter on his turbo because he "didn't have enough money for one". And I think he's 16. Come on, now.

But yeah, those wheels look retarded. (facepalm all over it)

I think people over react to what is essentially personal opinion. Oh no, someone doesn't share you opinion what the hell is wrong with them? This is auto enthusiasm not politics or religion. I don't understand why we can't all just stand back, take a look, and say "not my taste but go for it and have fun".

I know for a fact I will end up doing things to my car other people do not like. Does that make them right and me wrong? We are all beautiful snowflakes (sssh), no two alike, so let's start enjoying people for their differences as much as we enjoy others for their similarities.
