Any photographers in here?

1ds and 5d series are the only canon cameras with full frame sensors. 1d has a 1.3x crop factor. All others have 1.6x crop factor sensors.

i knew that was coming... you try composing a shot as you drive into the location... sideways! lol

the one I shot from further left is the one I misfocused. lets talk about it some more... aright?! lol

Haha..Well..I didn't know you were actually moving. It doesn't look like you're moving. No snow flying, nothing. So maybe show some motion?

not what I meant... I slid the car to where it was. my intent was to be about 10' short of where I slid to.. and you really only get one shot at virgin snow.. so I just went with it once it was parked. I'm aware it wasn't perfect, but I'm far from it, so I just went with it.

it makes me sad that I'm taking photos of $300,000 cars through a lens that is valued at $50 or so. Time to upgrade. I wonder if I can get my work to help me out. I might float that idea today.

I think he was saying you should have walked around to the other side of the car to shoot it.

I was working my way that way, but the misfocused pic was next, and after that was a dead batt... something is up with the batt because I think I got 9 shots out of it, and I'm almost sure it was fully charged.

AAAaahhhh I get it now.

though... with some playing I did with the clone tool, I realized yesterday that fixing it wouldn't have been too hard.

For instance: no footprints, and I'm not really a ghost... lol:

I also took a light pole out of the pic I posted yesterday.

That would have been the money shot if the picture wasn't so bad.

not sure why all your pictures are so soft.

Anyway, check out the interior of the new Aston

because I am not very good at what I'm doing. lol Pretty sure to shoot into such a strangely lit backdrop as that you have to be a lot better than I am.. and I think its as simple as that.

add to that the the cam is pointed into the wind/snow, and that was shot with an F stop that was too high to get the exposure time longer. I'm sure there is a better way to do what I was trying to do, but I just don't know what that would be.

Best way would be to manual focus or use a remote trigger so that it can autofocus on your car.

f0r manual focus....it'd be a bit hard since you would have to guess where the car is going to be and focus for that spot.
