one replaces the internals of your stock pump and the other replaces the entire pump with a high performance one.

do you like money? if so then no the internals are a better choice.

bias opinion of course b/c i have the internals and they are getting the job done and have been for 15000+ miles.

Pump you pay someone else to do a 30 minute job for you, plus shipping back and forth for core, etc.

Seriously, the internals are really easy to install but, if you don't mind some waiting, the whole pump is a fine idea.

Tools needed for a pump swap are: a 17 and 19 mm wrench, a zip tie, an e8 inverted torx socket.

Add a bench vise and an 18mm deep socket if you do the internals yourself. A torque wrench is handy but, not required, if you have any feeling in your hands.
