HIII MIKE!!! Figures you would find your way onto this thread lol

But yeah...street racing is not so looked well upon.
A) the DPA crowd can get dangerous...people have been shot
B) cops swarm the area so its nerve wrecking... even if your not doing anything wrong
C) theres no official time for DPA meets... its very unorganized
D) they leave trash everywhere
E) it reeks of weed
F) more than half the people that come out there are rice burners driven by 18 year olds who dont know how to drive a car and run around burning their clutches all night.

you don't want to be racing next to someone who has no idea what their doing...do you?

All in all....race on a track like englishtown... or go to nassau colluseum and AX...its safe and regulated and you wont get shot...no its not a "fast and the furious" setting...but at least its legal and fun.

And there, ladies and gentlemen....is my two cents.

yea i under stand that but wen u gotta drive mad miles 2 nj its a pain in the ass so n btw im 16 lol n i now how 2 drive my car i been driveing sice i was 10 n thats wen i didnt now how 2 drive

Nothing personal, but no one at 16 knows how to drive. Car control is something learned on a track, not the street. If you want real racing competition google nyr scca/ ny porsche club/ nyr bmw club and come to one of the events, even just to watch. People there are tru enthusiasts and know how to drive, not those morons at DPA with fart cans and underglow. Autocrossing can be both a very humbling and rewarding experience. That's my 2 cents

Not only that but i wouldn't go around advertising that you were driving at age 10...being that is illegal...just saying. And another thing is if you really enjoyed to drive your car you would suck it up and drive the 2 hrs to NJ. That drive is an adventure and enjoyable in and of itself provided you don't go during rush-hour.

Hahaha, i ******* knew you were 16. The way you spell and the way you're so into these "street" races.

I actually didn't know exactly 16, but I guessed high school.

Everyone in high school or with a high school mentality thinks they're the greatest drivers in the world because they can weave in and out of traffic.

Drag racing consists of fast cars, autox consists of fast drivers

actually im sure they monitor the forums is the dealers monitor the forums. Ever wonder why people block out their plate numbers on their cars? so the dealer dosent have this wonderful list of aftermarket modifications you have done to your car so they can void your warranty. Therefore in the same aspect why wouldn't the police look at car forums?

I've never heard off dealers going as far as monitoring forums to void warranties.

I read about a case, probably linked somewhere on this site, where a dealer wouldn't honour a warranty because the owner was involved in auto cross. Possibly in the US south west somewhere, but I can't remember.
