I have the SU one and other than a bit of vibration for the first 500 miles I haven't had any problems, a lot less wheel hop, got rid of a lot of the drive train lash and just drives nicer. I don't know if the others have this option but you can change the insert in the SU mount if you want a stiffer or softer mount....

im getting SU MM to so i wanted to know how torque u used to screw it in???

Hello folks,

I have an 07 MS3 with the stock MM. After reading the last few messages here, I am gravely concerned about not having an aftermarket MM.

So what is a recommended aftermarket MM to buy and how do I go about installing it? I can search the forum for this.

I'd like to hear what other 'absolutely needed fixes should I do on my MS3?

This past weekend I installed the Street Unit rear MM. Took 3 hours mainly because could not get the old bolts off. I tried BB balster, WD40, and my 6'4", 190ld all muscle 17 year old son. Nothing worked. Finally took a hammer to the socket wrench and it worked!. I strongly recommend the street unit and I think it does feel like there is more torque getting to the wheels. The vibration is hardly there.

im getting SU MM to so i wanted to know how torque u used to screw it in???

Torque them to 90lbs.

The SU MM comes with instructions. I found they worked the best

I am on my second SU motor mount. The first one I installed had the "aggressive" bushing. After a few thousand miles on it, it was still too much for my taste. I had dashboard rattling vibrations, exhaust drone and gear whine. It had a real sports car feel with all of this going on, but like exhaust can tend to do, it got annoying. I spoke with SU and they provided an estimated range of 75-85 duros for this mount! I believe it's every bit of the 85. My buddy gave me his extra 62 duro SU mount and I am much happier. I am going to sell my other one.

It'd be really cool for people to post videos of the supposed "Rattle" with the TRZ, SU, CP-E and AWR mounts for an objective comparison. I'd definitely hold up my end, I'm pretty set on the AWR.

i will post interior vids of after install, 500mi, and 1k mi to see the difference. i ordered the TRZ today so....

With the AWR its not noticeable enough to capture on video... Its probably the same with most of these mounts...

are they all adequate to prevent engine dropping? even CS inserts?
