Thx guys. Yes, I traded for the 8. You would not believe how many hours/days I spent over the time I had her in cleaning/painting/polishing that engine bay. The trans and intake mani was painted high temp silver, along with various other silver parts. I took the valve cover and heat shield off and hand polished.

I was as low as I could go with those RAYS G-games at 18x7.5 +42. Lowered on Tein s-tech and if I had any significant weight other than myself they would rub even though I rolled the rear fenders.

Funny thing about the mileage. When I was signing the papers on the trade, the accounts lady had to do a double take because the mileage on the P5 was exactly the same as the RX-8. She had never seen that before.

Loved these wheels, but they made the front brakes look so small.

Alt, was your entire engine/trans painted??

Takes work man. First thing to do to get the engine bay clean is to go get it steam cleaned. After you get it really clean, its just a maintenance thing. Just touch it up every time you wash the car. Makes it easy!

funny.. I traded my '02 P5 for an '04 RX-8. But my outcome wasn't so good... The 8 was a lemon on MONSTROUS proportions.

What happened, if you don't mind me asking? (you can reply in PM if you want). I was considering picking up an 8 at some point, as one option.

Sorry it did not turn out so well for you.

I was skeptical at first. However after much research and knowing what to look for I found the perfect pre-owned RX-8. 3 years later and I've not had a single problem.

he has fixed the rims... they are now all black, with matching blue lip. much better!

and i thought he had cleared up his headlights too.

And the headlights just hazed right up again and I havent had the time to really sand them down like the need to be so for now I say screw it.

Thx bro. With a wire tuck it sure would have been ultra clean.

This is when I painted a MSP cover with a custom carbon fiber insert, and had the heat shield black. Missing from these pics was the CF oil cap cover.
