Am I the only one who prefers the new sheetmetal on the MS3?

I like the new MS3. If I could have waited an extra 6 months for the new model year to come out I would have, but I had to settle with an '09.

Most unfortunate front end. Thanks, I'll keep my P5.

I like the rear. I like the interior, except for the gauge cluster and how tiny the Nav screen is. The side is meh (very matrix like), I actually think it would look better if it had impact moldings. The front is hideous.

Sorry but Mazda is doing way to much with trying to make the front ends of all models look similar. They started trying to copy the 8 in the 6 and now this. From the pointy hatch to the slanted and protruding taillights to the overly sloped windows (since they decide to have the body line go to the wheel well instead of the top of the fender, ya' know to emphasize the 8 thing) to the hood scoop to the waste of excess plastic headlights to that stupid grin to the 8 rotors in the rim design. THANK GOD I've got my '07. The new one looks like a riced version of the last gen. Unfortunately if you want the fun that the car offers you're stuck with it if you want something new.

surely you're the only person who could think such a stupid thought

I don't think it's stupid to ask why there's so much negativity about the new Speeds. I'm hearing it from all sorts of different places, not just enthusiasts.

I think the new look is vastly better, and I wondered why it seems that so few share my opinion.

so few share ur opinion cuz mazda messed up, they had a good looking speed alredy, if they wanted to make chages so bad than why didnt they just add a hood scoop to the old one, put a nice turbo in there(thats not gonna smoke after 7000 mile!!!!!!!!!!!) and put solid engine mout (so those engines dont drop!!!!!!!!!!!) and they would have a perfect car

I think the new car looks better than the old one. I don't think Mazda messed up.

The old one looks conservative, but the new one doesn't look like a hooner car either.

My turbo never smoked (that I noticed) - but I did have the engine drop twice. Solution? Aftermarket engine mounts, I guess.

But I was talking about aesthetic design, not reliability or performance.

The new car looks better if your 19 and still into F&F crap. Every magazine has stated that it is a love it or leave it look, primarily defined by age bracket.
