i figured since there is SOOOO much discussion about it in almost every thread made in this section, why not make a thread for a discussion on its own.

personally i'm a fan of the 03.5 wing and dislike wingless. however, i think some can pull it off. the 03 wing is a little funky looking IMO, i had an MP3 so i've had my share of each.

discuss what wing looks best on what color, and/or how to pull off the wingless look...

Wingless fo' life. If I had to have a wing, it'd be an 03.5, but a clean-shaven trunk makes the car look cleaner,longer and leaner. That said, when I first got the car, I thought the wing was the greatest thing ever and the wingless Proteges looked bland and pedestrian. Now, I appreciate the subtlety...

Anyone that baught a MSP, got it because of the styling. I dont understand why anyone would want to buy the MSP then make it look like an ES.

I have run it every way , wingless , es, mp3 and now the msp . i have to say i like the winged look. i am a big fan of the mp3 wing but now that i have the msp it is really growing on me .

because the wing is definately the only thing they added to the ES to make it a MSP (boom07)

we don't all want to have racerboy wannabe go-fast mobiles. I prefer understated to overstated.

I like the look of the 03.5 wing, but the attention it got me was rarely if ever positive (being raced by a volvo 740 wagon out of a stop light comes to mind).. so I prefer the lower key wingless look.

wingless, debadged, carbon fiber if you can afford it... i am a huge fan of wingless, i dont really like the 03.5 wing at all, the 03 wing looks good imo though. i want to go for the look a lot of the subies have around here, no wing no badges, ultra sleek...

with that being said, i dont remember, i know my old 01 es the badges were like rivited in. im hoping the msp ones are just double stick tape kinda stuff?

if I had an excuse to repaint the trunk, I'd go fully debadged. for now, they cover up the holes that would be left.. so they stay.

I'd go with wingless... Unless someone has a actuall carbon fiber spoiler for raceing (supman) then that will win.
