Blk Housing Depo headlight projector retro

Ok so i finally got some free time with my car being down and all to work on this project that i started on a while back , but now with all these threads on retro'smotivated me to finish this and since I dont want pay an arm and a leg for a professional retro, I used a projector out of a scrapped fellow mazda 3 headlight wit some lite modifications to the reflector got it to sit nice on the housing. Im not officially done since I still need to work on the 2nd headlight. well with that being said here are teh pix, all input will be greatly appreciated

took apart a spare black housing depo headlight.

I also used the mazda 3 shroud for those that didnt recognize it.

I personally didnt like the chrome of the reflector and shroud so , I sanded them down and sprayed the reflector flat black and the shroud metallic gray.

Here is the final product, still needs to be leveled and sealed nice and tight.

I know its nothing fancy as I've seen on other retro's on these forums, but hey, its just something I put together usings spare and scrap parts.

ive been working on my retro, but will post pics of it when its done. my goals are a little ambitious to say the least lol. these look really good. seal them up and lets see some night shots.

Just finished off/sealed the first light, didnt like the way the mazda 3 shroud look, so i went ahead and left it shroud less, let me know what ya'll think

Note: the lense still needs to be sanded down and restored. sorry bout crappy iphone pics.

Yeah, I agree. It looks good but it has a big open space in there. You can make angel eyes. Just google it, they look awesome. Great work though. How did you get the projector into the housing? like how did you fasten it to the housing?

thanx, i wanted to do the shroud but i liked the way it looked without it.. i had a set of angel eye rings but where too blue for my cup of tea lol..

the projector is being held on by 3 screws through the housing.

how did you open the housing?

thats the easy part, pre-heat oven to 300 degrees and bake headlight for 8 min. take a flat head screw driver and seperate lense from housing.

Im going to be honest, your car is really nice. I love the blkonblk HAHA!. I was thinking of color matching my rims to my car. I have not really decided yet though.
