Bad squeak from front and rear?

Hey all,

I have an embarassing thing happen every time I go over speed bumps or other bumps. My suspension squeaks like no other! The only thing I've done to the suspension is replace the RSB with the Cobb version. (I've WD-40'd the bushings, no help. I also lubed the same bushings a few months ago, but it's returned...) The sound definitely correlates with the rapid extension/compression of the suspension. In general driving, it does not happen.

Does anyone know what in the world this noise is or could at least give me a direction to look?

Thanks!

Daniel

Normal for our cars

Does the sound go away after driving some? If it does then it's just our high performance bushings. Normal.

recheck your pushing on the frame and really tighten your endlinks down and use locktight

yes recheck them,

due to the cornering torque put on the endlinks with the stiffer sway bar the tend to losen up a bit, especialy if you did not put locktight on

I don't have a front bar and I did put locktite on the rear when it was replaced...

I'll try and tighten 'em down next time I can get under the car.

I had the same problem with my Cobb RSB. It was sqeaking non-stop and my car was really bouncy in the back (weird huh?). I thought my struts were blown so I put back on the stock RSB so that I can bring it back to the dealership for some warranty work. Once the stock bar was on, the car was quiet again and the bounciness disappeared...Anyway I tried putting back on the Cobb RSB and that's when my effing endlinks somehow broke.

Hmm. My rear isn't bouncy, but it does squeak like nothing else...Sounds more like a lube issue. It's the front I can't figure out...

I had a similar problem with my MS3 the noise was coming from the rear of the car. I went to the mazda service and they fixed it for me. They had to tighten the right rear sway bar link. Since then everything has been fine. I wish you luck with your problem with them fixing it.

Good to hear! I have a set of AWR rear adjustable sway bar end links on the way. Hopefully there'll no more squeaking once I put them on.
