DDM Tuning Apexcone Raptor HID Kit - $30 plus shipping

I bought a set of 4500k for my gf's car, and I have 5000k on mine. Her's are a xmas present, so I don't know about those, but I like the output of the 5000k. Heres to hoping that its not as bad as you make it out to be...

Its not bad. Its brighter than regular bulbs, but only like maybe 2x on my MP3. I was expecting a super nice white brilliant light like I've seen on others.

Go with 5000k. Nice and bright, smallest tinge of blue, hardly noticeable.

Here's all the light I get! Not what I expected for HID's! Should of probably got the 55w kit!

honestly, I could take a pic that would make then look like s***, and make em look like they turn night into day...

please do. still torn between the 35w and 55w. I do not want to bwe anoying and piss everyone off but i want the road well lit. if you follow.

I think a lot of people are torn between 30w and 55w
I mean, thats what we're all after, right? More light.

Can anyone think of a solution where 30w is standard and 55w is optional while driving? Like low beams and high beams; 30w as the low beam and 55w as the high beam or something like that. I doubt thats possible though.

Maybe 30w in the headlight housing and 55w in the fogs? That way you can turn the fogs on when your on a back road, and turn them off when you pull onto a busy road, so you don't blind people.

what do you guys think?

I'll get a shot of mine and my gf's truck in the parking garage at some point here... I'll try to keep the exposure true-to life...

in a seperated bulb situation (say on a P5) I wouldn't put HIDs in the high beam. the warm-up time could make for VERY unsafe driving for a couple of seconds, as many vehicles disable the low beam when you enable the high, my gf's truck doesn't, but I'm not putting HIDs in her high beams either way. also, just FYI, standard is 35w, not 30. semantic i know, but it makes a difference.

i went ahead and bought the 55w mostly cause i saw the 35w on my friend's car and it certainly wasn't bright enough for me. But the 55w there is a large amount of glare when i beam it at the fence but it doesn't seem too bad when i drive behind cars and suv's. It doesn't light up the cabin of the car. I also have had to aim it pretty far down.

Good luck with the 55w kit, I bet you're gonna get flashed like crazy.

I can't wait til I have my retrofit done with high quality parts and have a proper setup.
