Nopes, Storm's is an entirely different color. I can PS that color on if you want me to.

Sorry but I'm TOTALLY going to copy you except for possibly the color you choose. I have an MGM and I'm going with RX8 next year as well. I know they've been done on everybody's 3, and MS3 and I don't care because:
  1. Nothing looks as cool for the price in the aftermarket
  2. Lighter than the stock rims AND wider
  3. MAZDA OEM wheel with proper hub opening and uses factory lugs
  4. Not flashy or overly cheesy - a clean, good looking five spoke.

To top it off, for the last three weeks I've been occasionally looking for a powder coater in my area and trying to find one has not been easy.

honestly, the bronze looks like poop. the black is: ZZZzzz... ZZzzz...
but the shinka, black chrome, and storm's color look hot!
the gold could be good too, just not as bright as the photoshoped one.

I looked at a 3 sedan with Shinkas on it last weekend. It was parked at the local Home Depot. They had some rash and were filthy, but it gave me some idea how they would look in person. Right off I'll say they look smaller than the stock speed3 rims which I believe is due to the design of the stock speed3. The spokes on the stockers going all the way to the edge of the rim provide that illusion. Otherwise the RX8 rims look really nice in that finish but I am reconsidering running them personally.

I like the Enkei Rs05's. theyre 18x8s and weigh 18lbs a piece, someones selling them on m3f.

the weight savings will be offset by the increased tire size. i track the car so 245 dunlop starspecs are going on the wheels

in all i wanted a nice set of wheels, but the potholes of NY and autox pushed me from spending $1500+ on light wheels as they would bend too easy....unless i went to 17s with a thick sidewall....yuck

u do know that the regular 3 came with a 16" rx8 style 5 spoke right?

Yep - totally familiar and I thought you might ask that. These were definitely RX-8. I could have been wrong them being true Shinka, but they did have the smoke looking finish and not a straight, bright silver. There's a black RX8 in my neighborhood with stock rims and I drive past it several times a week so I'm familiar with the non-shinka look in person.

I took a look at the tires on the 3 too. He was running 225/40/18 on them.
One thing is for certain. With these rims, you want nice looking brake calipers because they're right out in the open for all to see.

The RS05 are nice. Where did you get yours? What did they run you if you don't mind me asking?
