Cobb AP Discussion Thread

Just went in atr and modified the stage 1+ map and removed the egr code from it. Lets see if the CEL comes on anymore. Surprised to see the only difference in the stage 1+SF v102 and the stage 2+ TIHCPN FMIC is that the stage 2 one has higher boost targets.

So, do you use ATR to open and read the maps? Just wondering how I can see/make changes to things when I reach that stage.

Yep, ATR will have all of the tables in there for you to view/change. This includes launch control and flat foot shifting.

Thanks for all the input. I'll let everyone know once I get it loaded up. That's if I can pull myself away from the car!

kinda a stupid question how do you enable the ffs and launch control using the ap i changed the values on the map and saved it does that automaticlly enable them when reflashed?

Yes

Tried removing the egr code from my new flash yesterday. The cel comes on but there arent any codes to be read.

Anyone know if Cobb is planning on making any newer maps than those on the sites? We're at 1.02 now, I just wondered if we might see something updated in the future.

Ok that makes sense thanks again quik6 for the info. yea im hoping for new maps im going to be installing a tip soon and want a map like a stage 1+93 with sri and tip maybe theres one out but havnt found it yet.

I doubt any new versions will be released anytime soon. I was a beta tester for about 2 revisions and Christian never got back with me on my last datalogs. Seems like we are more by ourselves unless you get an e-tune or protune on a dyno which is what I am planning on doing after a downpipe.

yea i think im gonna go the same route once i get the tbe and fmic then ill see where im at power wise before my turbo upgrade

well, finally got my AP. beware velocityfactor.net - geez, claim free overnight -translation when the guy gets around to finally getting it to fed ex two days later then sending it 2 day instead of claimed overnight, you'll get it a full week later, yay! (meantime I finally see one on a local board used for four fitty, grr)
Anyway, trying out the Stage 2 91 MSCAI and post impressions. Surprised to see this map was uploaded in '06. Would think some tweaks have happened over the last couple years. I like many others I presume, are just now picking up an MS6 as a lease return or whatever. Hopefully this means plenty of tuner happy people with no warranty to worry about.

07 ms6 gt
fujita
tip
race pipe
ets 3.25"
forge

the map wasn't uploaded in 06. there just isn't a date setting on the AP and its incorrect. the AP just came out a year ago.

Maybe he installed a flux capacitor in the MS6 and went back to the future?

Just a thought...

ah ok. well the stage 2 mscai 91 is the first map I've tried and it seems like a good fit, very smooth, nothing weird happening, plenty of power. A vast improvement over stock that really takes the sting out of the price of the ap.

does anyone know what this map translates to? Stage1+TIHSF 93 v102. i want to say its for sri intake and turbo inlet but im not sure. does anyone have any insight on this?

Acronym breakdown:

TIH - turbo inlet hose
SF - Cobb SF intake (Superflow I believe?)
FUCAI - Fujita CAI
CPECAI - CP-e CAI
MSCAI - Mazdaspeed CAI
EXMAN - Externally wastegated manifold
ACN - Arizona/Cali/Nevada emissions
CPN - CP-e Nano intake
TMIC - Top mount intercooler
FMIC - Front mount intercooler
