'speed3
so i went on vacation for a few days and told my roommate and another buddy to check on my car every now and then. during my 10 day vacation i took a 2010 camaro ss on a road trip around northern california.

two days ago i get home, try to open the car and the keyless entry wont work. so i open the door manually and try to start the engine. nothing, nothing at all. the battery is completely dead. i called my buddy and he said he didn't see any lights on or anything while i was gone. he gave me a jumpstart and the car has been running fine since then. i'll have it serviced on monday just to make sure.

i think my speed3 is jealous ;)

So how was the Camaro? Of any American sports car I'd probably take a chance on buying one if it wasn't a GM product. That body is gorgeous.

Maybe a "traitor" but not jealous!

sooo....was the SS a rental then? that's a crazy rental if it is. i did a crumby durango rental in cali once and it was struggling to get around beverly hills with the AC on.

oh and if i could choose between the cars in that class (ie challenger, mustang, etc) i would definitely pick the ss. cheaper, better looking, and there's a nice hennessey kit for it now that leaves most of the internals unchanged, maybe add some injectors but nothing difficult

Completely agree ('specially 'bout the GM comment). I've sure had my fill of their crap.

I'm a little jealous myself. It's a very nice car. I wouldn't buy one... but it's a car I'd like to drive or have for a weekend.

yeah... avis and budget both have LT and SS models. I paid more for one day than what i pay for the speed3 in a month... but it was worth it! i wanted to get the camaro before i got the speed3 in april, but since it just came out prices were ridiculous...

the car is absolutely awesome. the interior is nice for it's class, the seats are comfortable and the power is absolutely insane. i drove it along the pacific coast highway, lots of twisties. it sticked to the road like glue. no bodyroll whatsoever. i test drove a challenger r/t a while ago and it felt more like a boat than a car. but the camaro is awesome. the ride is not too hard and not to soft, just the right mix.

it makes you look like the biggest attention ***** tho. i had the car for one day and had a crapload of people wave, honk and even a dude in a porsche gt3 gave two thumbs up.

i prefer gt2 over gt3 but thats just me. The new turbo will have 500hp now and obviously the refinement that the gt2 and 3 dont have
