Mazdaspeed6
I purchased an 06 Speed6 in white pearl a few weeks ago. I boughts it used w/ 34k miles on it. It has just about every option including nav. My brother in law Jsehlms turned me on to the speed. I actually tried to avoid getting one to prevent having the same car as him, but there isn't much out there that is sporty w/ 4 doors and a stick that you can drive year round in Cleveland. So here I am! Thanks for having me.

I don't really plan to mod it much, but will probably pick up an intake and a BOV in the near future. I may hold off on the BOV until my warrantly is up in August. I heard the Mazda dealers can be real pricks when it comes to mods.

OOPS, just noticed I posted this in the wrong section. My Bad, still getting used to the navigation. Mods could you please move this for my dumb ass! Thanks!

yeah...i was gonna say...theres no new speed6s...

i moved it for you.

oh, and does it have a large White "Mazdaspeed" banner on the windshield? if so, i know who you bought it from ;)

Go ahead and get the BOV. it is literally a 5 minute swap. So you can change it back for those annoying dealership visits.

I bought it from Park Mazda in Akron, and it does not have any kind of sticker on the windshield. Thats not saying that it didn't before, but it no longer does. According the the Carfax, it was from Tennessee if I remember correctly. It was listed as a corporate lease.

Also New Memeber.......

I purchased my Liquid Platinum '07 3 weeks ago. It is a GT with sunroof, nav, bluetooth and Lojack .
Previous owner tinted the windows, had a MagnaFlow cat-back put on it and RX-8 rims with Eagle GT tires.
Since I am in California I do not have 93 octane gas here so I can not hop it up too much. Planning on doing the basics, have a CP-E mount, a BPV from street-unit and a drop in K&N, would like to get an Access Port, new TMIC, and an intake. But have been getting different signals about CAI setups, do not want to have trouble with CEL issues. Have a friend checking into modding stock airbox, or swapping to a 6i box that has 2 openings in it. Will post pics soon, going to be raining here soon...........
Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

Grats on the ride. You won't have CEL trouble with an intake. Easy way to get power so I would just get an intake instead of modding the airbox but whatever suits you . . .

Heh, I know the exact car you are talking about, because I was going to look at it that morning if you didn't buy it. I was really bummed out that someone bought it instead of me! I ended up buying another one a week later in San Diego...mine is basically the same car, same color, but stock with no nav and had 11,000 fewer miles on it. I've added the XCarLink with Bluetooth, a short antenna and tow plate, and probably am sticking to simple mechanical and appearance stuff until the warranty expires.

I think we both lucked out on the cars we got...the guy who had yours sounded really straight up, and mine appears mechanically in great shape (no thanks to the dealer I bought it from!). If you haven't yet, look up MOCC for some good local information in SoCal.
