Avarela86's MP3

I would pick one up if there was one for sale lol. The FPR is the circular part that gets moved onto the new rail. But which is the control solenoid? Will I need to manually adjust it? What's the benefit of running this way? Seems like a lot of new stuff i've never heard of but seems like itll help out so any extra info would be nice.

No the circular part is the pulsation dampener. The FPR is the return clamp on top of the rail with the vac line going to it. The vac line goes to the FPR solenoid. Remove the solenoid and run the line directly to the manifold instead, then run your Perrin rail. There's a few left over from that group buy.

Can I do this without adjusting anything in the Haltech and also what is te benefit? Just rising pressure instead of solenoid controlled? Can I do this on the stock rail? What group buy? WHERE!!

Side comment, I ran 20PSI today and the car is INSANELY fast. I thought 17 was fun but 20lbs is ridonculous. I can't imagine how it feels to run in the higher HP cars that are out there must be spooky fast. I did notice one issue was that I would step on it at 4k in 4th gear (my methanol comes in at 4,500 and 8PSI) and I would get a stutter at 10PSI and then it would shoot to 20PSI with perfect AFRS same doesn't happen when I run 17PSI though. I can only imagine it is slightly lean in the section therefore I turned it down again.

As soon as the meth hits if it's not progressive it will go crazy rich. Lean it out right where the meth kicks in (say from 7.5-9.5psi) and taper it back to proper AFR's above that.

Yea im gonna have to tell this to my tuner cause I have yet to find a usable laptop with a serial cable. It's not progressive cause its controlled by the Haltech. I got one now from a buddy who used it to tune his Utec but I can't reinstall Windows for the life of me. Anyone want to save me and donate an old laptop?

Car went under the knife this weekend and she spit in my face. I replaced a torn Medievil rear motor mount (garbage) with a stock one a bought a while back(smooth ride is back), did an oil change and adjust a lot of vacuum line, removed some unneeded sensors and tried to adjust a coolant line feeding the turbo which had a minor leak.

Car felt great around my complex so I took it out for a 5 min fun run check and I turned into smokapalooza down the road. The MINOR leak turned into a mondo leak and was hitting the turbo turning the coolant into instant steam. I realized that I must've cracked the steel braided line internally cause I could see coolant bubbling out from inside the line. Now it's off to find a place that sells steel braided line on Monday. FML.

Sux :(
At least its nothing bigger than a coolant line.

yes sir...the line was cake to replace once I found a store.

What mods are you running?

Honestly; too many. Watch the videos on the first post to get an idea.

Side note:

I destroyed the tranny YET AGAIN. Gave my buddy a ride to work and I was pulling out of a toll and punched it from 2nd into 3rd and KABOOM there goes 4th transmission. Usually I ride out without third for a few days and im fine but this break must've been worse than the rest cause I went down to school 25 minutes away and when I got off the highway I couldn't get into 2nd or 4th. So I don't think im getting home on 1st and 5th, car is getting towed home for a transmission swap in few days. At least I carry back up transmission at home. lol I stock em!

1st to 5th shifts are fun hahaha. and yo. i wanna stock tranmissions!

You dont need to, unless you get near the 300WHP mark. I don't think its the actual mileage that kills the gear honestly just the shear stress that is put on it with all the extra power. I mean its a 200% increase in load considering my stock dyno was like 99WHP, WITH an exhaust. lol

replace it yet? :)

Not yet buddy it will be down for some time. Been at South Beach for a few days then celebrating my Graduation and maybe after ill get my hands dirty to fix the car. It's not the most fun thing to do in a one car garage. lol

Looks like the car is going back to stock real soon. I know the car is a blast to drive but I think its that time to change things up. I've been eyeing a convertible for some time and an S2000 has been really looking like a fun car to have. Ideally I would swap engines with someone stock and sell everything else off and own both cars. But that mostlikely wont happen. Well see what happens with time.

At least I FEEL that I want it back to stock right now.

OK im set...the car will go on sale as soon as I can decide prices on all the parts. I will be posting it for sale at my desired price as-is now. If I cant find a buyer I will buy a car and then start a complete part out. I would like to do a trade plus cash for the engine with another TURBO owner to help make finding an engine easier. Then once its as close to stock its off to Car Max or the Auction house.

Anyone know where I can find a GPW S2000 please PM me.
