Hi friends, Im Luis from Mexico City, Im owner that the masdaspeed3 2008.

The pictures for my car:

My proyect is to increase the power for the car, today the car has CAI by CP-E, blow off FORGE, no cats, dowpipe 3", and the standback.

I was a problem the last week, because I sent the car to check the tires and coils, and I forgot disconnect the CP-E harnes.

Then, the agency washed the engine but they wet the harnes; when they want to turn on the car; you know? The ECU was damage.

A friend send me a Speed Californian ECU to my home and we goint to try to put them in to the car.

Now I sold the standback, but I thing with this ECU i have the posibility to buy the COOB Tuning and dowload the maps, because I was listened the COBB tuning its not compatible with mexican speeds.

In the future i will coment about that.

I need to write my english its not good, sorry for the inconvenients.

Welcome! Sorry to hear about the problem though.

Cobb's maps would not work well with your car being cat-less. Accessport maps only run well if the car has exactly the mods it calls for, your best bet would be to get a custom tune. Should have kept the standback man, welcome to the forum.

I caught that. I was wondering if he was refering to race pipe having no cat or if he meant both race pipe and dp were catless.

TodayIm going to pick up the ECU in UPS at 7pm; then; tomorrow morning, i will put it in the car; with the dealer's help.

I dont know what will happen tomorrow... hehehe.

If the operation "Transplant ECU" its done, inmediatly Ill write the gossip.

Yes, im agree with this opinion, in my case, my speed not has the cat; have the CAI, The blow off valve, andtry to find the FMCI.

Otherwise, I feel freak with the standback; because in January, the engine blow!!!! with my personal configuration LOL.

But this is the other razon that Im visit you, because in my country the people dosnt know about the speed-tuning, and rigth know I want to take maybe the COBB Tuning or Sportchips way to reprograming the car.
