Did you ever make the trans swap how to?

not yet, I've been drawing skeletons on the daily for school for the last 5 weeks lol
but I have a week break starting tomorrow, maybe I'll get around to it lol

Did you ever make the trans swap how to?

1. Unbolt bell housing bolts/slave cylinder & unplug harnesses.
2. remove engine mounts/support motor .
3. Remove trans.
4. Check clutch & re-align.
5. put new trans on.
6. re-do engine mounts & bolt slave cylinder back up.
7. bolt the bell housing back up & plug in the harnesses.

*Move it to the how-to section!! lol I should do this professionally. xaxaxa

3. Install manual trans.

Swapping transmissions doesn't necesarily mean auto to Manual. You could swap a stock trans out for a built/regeared/msp trans... But it's your thread. You can have it your way! *BK theme song* (lol2)

I think IS300 or an older EVO is my next route... Won't be for a while tho, unless I come into some money.

unless you wanna stay loyal to mazda, or you like just a LITTLE bit of refinement, i would say go with the EVO, but i like my mazdas and i like the creature comforts that the mazda provides that the evo doesn't.

I'm not all about horsepower, I have to have "that" feel when I drive the car, you know? We'll see when the time comes, I might end up with a miata if I wanna save some money. lol.
