Reset ECU?

Do I really need to remove neg battery cable and reset ECU for test pipe and cat back install? Please discuss.

It's not necessary.

Usually it is a good idea to reset the ECU with mods that affect the MAF sensor (i.e. intake).

Reset ECU

I had reset my ECU once, but I had read it on scoobymods or someplace else. I forget where I found it and Im looking for it now. They basically went like this, disconnect battery and leave it for about 40 mins to make sure all the current is gone, reconnect battery, start car and let run till it reaches operating temp making sure not to hit the gas, shut car off, and start it again and drive it how you would like the car to perform.

Anyone else heard of this.
