Dodge sponsored the Tampa-Philly game. lots of commercials, one shows a man driving a Dodge Charger on a twisty mountain road, while tears course down his cheek. Guess the point being made is, this car drives so well it'll bring tears to your eyes.

And I'm thinking: I drive an MS3, a much better car than the Charger, unless it has the SRT package. If the Charger makes you cry, what should I be doing while driving my MS3, leaking vital fluids through all my orifices? Maybe have an orgasm, s*** myself, what? (rlaugh)(rlaugh)

Every time I see that commercial, the message it conveys to me is that those who love base model, autotragic Chargers are girly men.

Great marketing, Fiat.

.... nah, he is crying, because he knows that in 5 years he will have an outdated, POS old dodge, with an interior that is falling apart, yellowed headlights, and a front end that eats tires ever 4 months......

i guess that is a bit harsh. :)

I never really pictured a Charger as a car with which to carve twisty mountain roads, no matter the trim level. Do they handle worth a crap? Maybe he's crying because he's picturing the car flying off the side of the mountain while he still has 58 payments left...

My 300C holds the S-curves near my house as well as my Speed. It's the same car.

Why the front end?

Get right outta town!!! There are curves in FL? (rockon)

LOL, seriously, very surprised to hear that. I wouldn't expect that chassis to be much of a curve-hugger. Cool.

Under the skin, it's a Mercedes E-Class.

Yep, there are many curves here that are a hoot at speed. Two double-esses near my house that the Speed does at 80 or so, the 300 at 75 or so, and the Ram at 70+.

haven't seen it, but my pops had an r/t charger, had balls and was very comfy inside. granted i wouldn't consider one unless it was the srt, but the r/t is just as quick as the ms3. and he gave me a good run one time from a roll. dead even the entire time. but now that he has a g37 s coupe i couldn't touch him if i tried. if only i could convince him to get that sweet looking takeda intake for it....

and let the fanboys and "with this mod"ers flame on!!!!

Why the front end?

a friend had one of the earlier ones that was hell on front tires for some reason. took it to two different alignment shop, aside of dodge scratchin' their heads, and couldn't get it figured out...

we took it to a 4WD shop with a different alignment setup, and they seemed to make it better.

i'm sure it was just a weird, one-time thing, i just like ragging on other people's cars. :)

i must confess. i have another friend with an srt-8 and it does run pretty well. of course, he talks major crap about my mazda, so screw him, right? :)

my dad has the magnum srt and that thing is a BEAST. amazing grip for a huge mafia wagon. plus i think its a little more fun to drive on a wide open road, because it is super easy to "flick" around corners when the TC is off.
idk if the commercial is right for the car, but i think its a clever commercial.

hmm that's weird. maybe there was some bad software out for the alignment racks they were using. or maybe the techs just sucked ass. cant imagine why the 4wd one worked better.

i guess you are talking about the srt10 (ram with viper engine). i played with one a couple years ago when i had my gixxer 600 and he made me utilize my redline (not many good cars would ef with me on the bike, that truck was the only one)

the srt10 ram is actually a C&D pick for best used vehicles under 25k. i would rock one if i had the money and it wasn't a guzzler-and-a-half

All this talk about Dodge makes me want to puke. **** dodge. Run it against my miata on some twisties. 300C is the fail. Charger is the fail. Keep those cruiser on the highways and off them twisties cuz your just gonna hold me up. :P

damn haterz...lol.

i've learned to stop being a hater towards badges a long time ago...now i just hate specific models. kinda like going from racist to hating a specific person. there have been plenty of good dodge (chrysler) products amongst the bad ones. my hatred towards chrysler is going from the straight 6 to v6 in the wranglers. worst move evah!!!

btw...i want a miata again. had a 99 but want another one (guess it'd have to be na) and drop in a monster miata kit

no the magnum basically a 300C or a charger but in a wagon. it came out before the charger. the SRT-8 version has a 6.1L v8 making 425 NA.
the single cab viper truck is awesome, i would never want the 4-door tho...
not saying the magnum will out-handle a miata or anything like that, but it sure is fun to drive, and as comfortable as a couch.

no the magnum

oh s***...attention to detail>me

yea for a while i never knew that a magnum could have an "srt" package, and always assumed that ppl were inappropriatly badging their magnums. but i stood corrected a while ago.

can't say i would ever drive a magnum...but i appreciate the power that they have.

btw...i would never want that car cuz samuel L. jackson represented it in Jumpers and i can't drive the same car a black guy with blonde hair drove
