I cut the back of the vertical plastic thingies to make them basically flush with the rest of the back of the grille.
The bumper has to kinda of be forced on cause the bottom part of the grille opening pushes against the fmic. I was debating on cutting it all the way to the msp lip but I'm afraid it will look funny taking that much out so I wanted to see where other ppl, mainly turbolife ppl, cut their grille openings to.

OH. i know what you mean. when i had my fmic setup in the lx, i cut all the way to the lip, and it looked totally legit.
