What have you done to your P5 today?

I think its ur blinker fluid, have you checked it lately?

Lol it was running a bit low the other day but I fixed it

whats the level look like in the coolant bottle? are you getting any coolant in your oil?

The level has dropped a bit in the last month so I'm pretty sure it's coolant. When I pull the dipstick, there's no milkiness at all so I wanna say no. What's the best way to make sure though?

Yeah, you can smell the coolant. Gotta fix those leaks buddy.

Yea yea

your best bet is to pull the spark plugs and pressurize your coolant system with a pressure tester. if you have a blown headgasket or if its really leaking anywhere else this will push the coolant out

When I pull the plugs, what am I looking for. Also, how do I go about pressurizing the coolant system? I'll have to do this this weekend.

you pull the plugs so you can see if the cylinders are filling with coolant when you pressurize the system. And you have to get a pressure tester in order to do this. If you have any buddies that work at mechanics shops they should be able to get you one, if not i believe most autoparts stores sell them

but I just replaced the muffler bearings.

I'll make sure to do the pressure test this weekend then. If I do see coolant leak in, it's the head gasket right? If so, what's the course of action that I should take?

Step 1: buy a head gasket.
Step 2: replace head gasket.
Step 3: beer.

Head gasket is a hell of a job from what I've heard. How long does it take? I would have my mechanic do it instead of me because I don't feel comfortable doing it whatsoever.

take valve cover off
take head off
remove gasket
replace with new

reassemble to correct torque

i may have left a few steps out but thats the basic layout, u have to take the timing belt off too and the intake and exhaust mani but besides that..pretty easy lol

i have all the torque specs and the correct assembly order if u need it i can get it too u on saturday at the earliest

If you can do that, I would be very grateful. I don't need it ultra fast since I probably won't get it done for a little while due to school. If anything was to go wrong with the replacement (if indeed I do need a new one) I would be screwed.

I installed my Injen CAI tonight and honestly I'm a little disappointed with the low end compared to the factory intake, though I know that CAI's get rid of some low end pull.

It honestly feels like my car is much slower, I think I'm gonna convert it to a short ram. Thoughts?

No thoughts other than the fact that NA mods suck. Your car is heading in a good direction though. So far, there have been no bad mods (2thumbs)

Yeah, honestly my car pulled pretty damn good before this, I'm guessing my car was well taken care of, because it's no dog.

Maybe it's the bypass valve? I've never had a CAI so I can't say if this is normal for most cars though. It does look nice in the engine bay though, I'll try to get pics tomorrow if it doesn't rain.

I'm really looking forward to installing the MSP shifter the most.

Yeah. Most N/A mods move the power up in the rpm range. My car makes no power or torque below 3000rpm. lol But once its up there it comes alive.

There should not have been that big of a difference in the butt dyno from a CAI. It's all in your head! lol

Got my powder coating kit today in the mail. Now all I need is a spare oven then im going do up all my brackets and maybe my brake calipers.
