it's a boost controller btw. Not a booster controller. Just so you don't get flamed by others. And not to sound like a dick but how are you a speed6 moderator when you seem to know absolutely nothing about turbos or engine management in general?

i was curious about this as well, but I was trying to be nice and just get him boned up on it instead. lol

its the job of a moderator to police this site ...enforce rules and what not? the guy has been on here for 5 years now...give him some slack for not knowing everything and lets give him a little help ...even tho he really should be looking at past posts. not trying to piss off any other mods on here and not trying to come off as a dick lol.

listen snooky your gonna need a computer management system...its in your best interest to get the cobb ap because its very user friendly. it will deff give you more power safely over a boost controller and with the sounds of it your not too knowledgeable on the situation and i have a feeling that you would most likely over boost your car and blow it up so its best if you went with the cobb ap... goodluck on whatever you decide to do.

wow, just stumbled across this. where to begin......i will do my best not to sound like a dick.

how/why are you modded if you dont know anything about the car?

any FI car will lose power as mod levels increase w/o a tune. (minor things like sri's dont really apply). but based on your lack of knowledge (no offense) you need to do a lot of reading before you do anything else. do you have a Dashhawk or the like to monitor engine vitals?

I would suggest the AP, i love mine, but expect to pay about 500 bucks on top of the cost of the AP for a custom tune. I would stay away from ATR since you really dont know what your doing and can very easily blow a piston through the side of the block.

also, since you have a speed6 i would recommend the rear diff mounts first

I don't feel there is anything wrong with being a moderator and not knowing much about the car. I feel moderators are more here to make sure everyones playing nice than to be all knowing beings.

My only problem is almost, and I say almost not all, every moderator right away jumps on someone when they ask a question that at some time might have been asked with "use the search button idiot" and heres a mod asking about widely covered topic with threads dedicated to it.

Guys, we're not here to talk about what a moderator should or shouldn't know/do, so let's keep it on topic.

tx has a point. if this werent a mod it would have been the standard "this is a topic that has already been widely discussed, please search the forums for the topic in question" and the thread would have been closed in post 2. similarly some of his posts can be construed as simply foolish, and the thread would be closed on that account as well (no offense).

This has been dragged out, it really isn't a big issue for discussion. I still maintain that a simple search of 'boost control' would have yielded enough info for the MS3/6 that could have given him a basic background on the subject.

With that said, I'm closing this. No need to keep it going further.
