no, dub, i got 2 sets for $90. Both 3000K hid's for the foglights on both cars

got the $45 Raptor kits, and so far they're still good

well guys i got some bad news, the build has been put on hold until at the latest christmas break...i though the pistons and rods would get here sooner but i guess they take a while to be made and all that

and im in college now lol i dont have class on fridays so i could come home and work on the engine little by little....that is if i get it from pro5x2

Hi! Where are you bought the hood dampers? It looks well and more advantage. Please advice and thank in advance.

I had a pic of the pistons but i sent them back cuz PG sent the wrong size, i originally wanted Arias but they didnt have overbore sizes so i went with Wiseco and they should be here in a month according to the Captain

This will be a great build. Hope to see you join the boost community as soon as possible. How much boost are you going to be running?

10-14psi
only cuz thats as far as the Split Second can tune lol at least those are my plans, i dont want to max out the fuelpump or injectors so 10-12psi is prob more reasonable
im trying to hit 220whp at least

That sounds like a good plan. I would say start off at 10 psi. I'm running 7 on the auto tranny and it is insanely fun. The max I will go is 8 but I'm still deciding on whether or not to do that at this point. If you start off at 10, you can keep increasing all the way up to 14 and that way you won't get bored haha.

lol yea i think im going to break it in slow though, since im rebuilding the engine and all that..
might even break it in a couple 100 miles N/A to see if theres any power difference then put all the turbo stuff on so i dont stress the motor too much right away

i just hope the rebuild goes smooth...i've learned to lable everything after rebuilding my dads GTI lol i still havent hooked all the wires up and i rebuilt it last year :(

do yourself a favor and install the turbo at the same time as the engine swap. It'll make your life A LOT easier. As hard as it's gonna be, just drive out of boost for a while until you break it in.

yea thats why i didnt want to put the turbo stuff on...cuz im going to want to floor it as soon as i get in lol
the guy who taught the engine rebuilding class i took said he doesnt even break his engines in, goes easy on them the first 50 miles then floors it...his philosophy is if it doesnt break within the first 50 miles, it wont break lol
he lives right up the street from me so that'll help, oh he drives a 400hp ford lighting btw, sick truck

It's kind of true, though you do want to go into boost some, just don't redline the car. My break in on the built motor was going into boost but no more than 4k RPM. It's basically to seat the piston rings better from what I understood. I could be wrong, but I haven't had an incident yet!

Good luck with the build I see some familiar parts in your build BTW. :-) At around 12 or so PSI depending on what compression pistons you got you should be at your goal.

jdm sam has his break in procedure on his site... get to 65, let the engine brake down to 25, about 15 times.. then just alternate rpm ranges and driving style.

^yea i heard about that but never knew the exact method, might have to try it

....where do you live? like your addy....I wanna ship you a gift....

not sure if thats good or bad lol
ill post it here since idc who see's it
