My first 1/4mile in my ms6!

Ok so i brought my ms6 to the track this past friday night.
My first time launching the car and my first time at the track for over a year.
My first 2 runs where HORRIBLE 1 red light and i rolled off on my first run..
So my last run i brought it up to about 4500-5000k slip the clutch hard and got a decent time now remember ive never launched this car before lol

R/T-.228
60'- 1.844
330-5.768
1/8- 9.027
MPH-74.72
1000-11.844
1/4 - 14.202
MPH- 95.38

i didnt think it was to bad all i have for power mods is a cai, and a cbe

o also question?on the launch my 4wd light flash..i figured it was because no traction but shut off as soon as i passed the like 1/8 mile should i worry lol

Not bad for your first time, after a few more tries you could be in the high 13's, I wouldn't worry about the AWD light. Good going.

My 4wd light, and my spinning tire light both have come on in heavy cornering action, nothing to worry about.

Sounds like a decent time considering you aren't a proficient drag racer.

turn off dsc unless you want to break an axle next time you launch :) if you turn off dsc you'll cut some time off.

well lynnriderm6 i am surprised no one told you to turn off the traction control. when you hit the button on the left side it turns off the dsc which would of helped you get a better launch and not slowed your car and the reason why your 4 wheel lights flashed. i always turn off the dsc when i drive..you will get more power out of your car.

yea it wouldnt lol. just next time u go bak to the track, turn the DSC off. That should give you a better launch and throw some time of ur run. Lol im surprised u didnt snap ur axles launching it at 4500

no the 4wd still comes on if u get a lot of wheel spin. when i changed my wheel barring and had all 4 wheels up in the air and spinning, the light stayed on for a little while after i started driving again. nothing to worry about

Not bad of a time, could do better though. That is a low trapspeed!! That's what a Stock RSX Type S or Altima 3.5 would trap. You should be trapping around 100-101 with Intake and exhaust. I mean that's basically what a stock MS6 traps anyways. 98-100mph. None the less, good run though

Keep in mind that the Nissan and Honda are much lighter cars and not putting the power down to 4 wheels.

Doesn't matter. MS6 isn't losing more than 19% of drivetrain loss. The Type S loses about 15% since they put down about 170-171whp.

MS6 is 274hp x .19%=52
274-52= 222awhp,
basically what a stock MS6 put's down to the wheels. So on average a MS6 loses about 19% of drivetrain loss

RSX Type S is 201hp x 15%=30
201-30= 171whp,
Basically what i just said.

Physics don't lie. Now I'm not even going to remotely get into the fact about torque and AWD>FWD....

It will take a I/RH/E/K-pro RSX Type S to even hang with a stock MS6 from a roll or maybe even pull on the MS6 by a little.

Trust me. MS6's trap around 98plus stock. Anything less and it's driver error, or elevation and humidity

that's impossible because with the dsc off i am able to fishtail down the road on a rainy day and i dont see any lights flashing at all...if i keep the dsc on it feels like my car is stalling and trying to hold back a lot of power in 1st and 2nd gear due to the traction control....just whatever you do from now on when you get in your car always turn off the dsc unless your driving in wet or snowy weather

Still take it easy on the OP, she did mention that it was her first time and was looking for some help to get there. She did better than I did, my first run was 14.8 then i improved, best time is 13.8 and 103 at 95 degrees out.

lol wait im not a girl hahaha lol but anyways i know it was a low trap speed so gotta work on shiftn/driving better but a friend of mine has a rsx type-s he has i/h/mm/cbe/upgraded intake mani/k-pro tune and is puttin around 220 to the wheels and i beat em on a roll and his best time is a 14.3 @100 but ya the ms6 was my first standard actlly my first standard ive ever launched lol i was in shock how fast the gitty up lol very impressed i asked a friend of mine who has a 07 sti at 22psi and only had a 1.7 60' mine was a 1.8
