F2 Turbo Kit Installed

Finally got the replacement intercooler and injectors...

Is there a set of installation instructions? Or at least a master list of all of the parts? I don't want to jump into the installation and realize I'm missing something.

I still need a gasket too.

There are no installation instructions. At least mine didn't come with any either. And the gasket, from your manifold to the block you use your existing one. A gasket for the down pipe should be provided.

They told me there were instructions. I really just need them to make sure I have everything. The turbo/dp gasket is what I'm missing. How does the intercooler mount? I haven't pulled the bumper off, but I looked around in that space and there doesn't seem to be anything to mount it to. The Tri-Point kit comes with brackets that mount to existing parts....am I stupid or drunk....or missing more parts?

Call up Ricardo or send him an email. Or you can bug Randy to talk to Ricardo...

Oh, I email them...quite often. Only once has someone answered the phone since I started calling them back in May.

Did you ever receive install instructions? It's difficult to troubleshoot. Did you receive all of your parts and/or get a packing list? How did the install go?

Well, This morning I got the 2 packages that were shipped. It had the intake piping and filter, hoses and clamps, BOV, downpipe. Still waiting on Exhaust manifold, turbo, boost controller, intercooler and piping, XFC, and any other small things I may have missed to be shipped out. Don't know how progress is, haven't heard anything since this past Friday.

Sorry, I'm just reading these now and I have to comment on something....days before you posted this you said they told you the delay for not shipping your stuff was that they didn't have the xfc. In this post you said you didn't get it in your first shipment, isn't that a little strange? I also had ordered a kit and didn't have it all delivered.
it's unfortunate that I read later in a post that you drove 15 miles before your engine blew up..? That's terrible.

I ordered on April 21st and still don't have the turbo/dp gasket or instructions. Ricardo emailed me on 7/24 saying "I'll send it out today." Nothing. I also received another "I'll send it today" email a week ago, and still nothing.

He keeps saying that they're really busy and it's just two people doing everything. Well I DON'T CARE. Four months to get something that's "IN STOCK" is retarded.

I recommend nobody order anything from them so they can catch up on their orders and find themselves out of business. If I can come up with $3k+ to spend on a turbo, then it's pretty likely that I can come up with $500, $1k, or $2k to spend with them....not anymore. **** F2.

This is almost the same as what I experienced, and you received damaged parts, didn't you? what are you going to do?

Yea, I don't think that F2 is very good to deal with. I don't think I will ever buy from them again either.

An update on my car... Well I have a new engine in the car and I am waiting to get it tuned.... So in the meantime I ordered eagle rods, supertech 9:1 pistons and a gasket set from protegegarage. I got my rods, gasket set comes in tomorrow, and pistons i'm not sure about cause they were held up from supertech when I ordered. Once they come in I gotta get them installed and then a tune

I think I'm gonna make my own gasket.

Hey, littleb01...how does the intercooler mount?

Well I didn't actually do the work myself but im pretty sure it mounts up to the frame. I can't really tell you though since I didn't actually do it. haha, sorry

I did get the new intercooler...and new injectors because they were rolling around in the box and were likely what caused all of the fin damage to the intercooler. Due to the whole "equal and opposite reaction" principle I figured the injectors might be damaged as well.

Hey, ryukensfj...can you swing by the F2 shop and stick my gasket and installation instructions in an envelope for me? I will send you money for your time and trouble....sadly, I'M NOT KIDDING. So how's your turbo kit holding up?

I'm not near F2 anymore so I can't do this... Have you called him to talk him directly instead of over the internet? My turbo kit is holding up great! Still on stock internals and tranny. I'm in AZ right now and it is very very hot and it is still doing great. 420+ miles in 110+ heat...

ryukensfj, what psi are you running?

I have tried calling them. Someone has only answered once since May. I usually leave messages.

How hard do I really need to be working to get what I paid for?

...and another thing. When I ordered the kit is came with a Dual Port BOV. I was shipped a Kompakt Plumb Back. I checked their website again and it was in fact changed to a plumb back. It seems the kit price was based on the parts it came with at the time, but the new plumb back is $70-80 cheaper...that bugs me that the price was not adjusted accordingly. One of the two times I had them on the phone I brought it up and was told I could get the Dual Port. Of course, I don't have it, and it's probably not worth the hassle and further delay of installation.

I'm running at 7psi. You really need to just talk to Ricardo or Randy. But Ricardo deals with all the parts and customers and Randy deals with the installations and mechanical stuff usually. Sometimes Randy can help you out. Have you tried Iming him on aim? He is sometimes on aim with his cell so he should reply if he isn't busy. His aim sn is f2cars. I really don't know what else I can do for you. If I was still in California I would help you out. Are you on any other forums beside this competitive forum...

I'm not going to sign up with AOL just to hound these guys more than I already am. They just need to get their s*** together. Ricardo said he has the gasket and just needs to put a shipping label on it. WELL WTF? Do it already! He also said the instructions can be emailed. I still don't have them. This is so frustrating.

The turbo kit is one of the more expensive single item purchases you can make with them. I would think that it would garner some level of priority.

Where there's money, there's usually more money....not from me though. They need to realize that someone who starts modding their car and spending money on it usually never stops, and when you find one good, reliable source for parts, you usually stick with them.

Tomorrow is the 4 month anniversary of ordering my kit...I think I'll do a shot while staring at my boxes of parts.

I'm sorry you are having troubles with your purchase. I'll try to help you in any way I can. I'll talk to Ricardo personally and see what is the hold up on your stuff. Could you give me your name and what exactly are you missing. Include everything you are missing, including the bov you said was the wrong one.
