sigh...
Again, induction noise from an intake makes a quiet turbo even harder to hear.
The OP was not talking about intake (induction) noise.
Induction noise from an intake makes a quiet turbo even harder to hear.
The induction noise is the turbo sucking in air. Are you okay?
I don't understand.
The OP was talking about turbo whine, not induction noise.
Are you OK? Any problems with reading comprehension?
Are you really talking about a blow off valve or one of these.....

Whooooo Whooooo
He was asking about whistle (Not whine) which could be taken for intake noise as the turbo is spoiling.
No, "whilstle" and "whine" can be used interchangeably in this context.
He can't hear the turbo because it is quiet, unlike some other turbos.
It's as simple as that.
hi all
how come the speed3 has no turbo-whistle? or is there something wrong with my car lol. i've had the speed for about four months now, you can "feel" the turbo kicking in, but there is absolutely no turbo whistle.
not that i need to hear the whistle or anything, i was just wondering![]()
i assume OP is looking for this kind of sound.

you won't get that sound from an ms3.
No, now you’re just making up s*** to cover up for your stupidity. You can hear the turbo spoil as it is sucking in air (Hence the word "whilstle" not "whine" like a supercharger). No one but you brought up "whine" It's as simple as that, get over it.
I get that sound when my car is spoiling...
^^
That and the fact that the know-it-alls actually think intake noise is the same as the mechanical turbine whistle.
Intake noise = vacuum cleaner sounds
Turbo whistle = WEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Supercharger whine = WEEEEEEEEEEE!! (lower pitched)
