Hello MAZDASPEED3 owners. I currently own an 2007 Nissan Altima 3.5 SE CVT and since some problems with GA State patrol, I won't be driving for a few months :(. In spring, when I start back driving, I decide to change cars and due to vast performance parts for this car I'm deciding to get a speed 3.

(p5black) (yippy)

I just wanted to say whats up and ask you to look out for my threads because I will have a whole bunch of questions (not the typical where can I buy an intake/exhaust question).

Alright, now that's over. First question.

I've been looking at people's cars and to my surprise, more people are using SRI then CAI. Are the SRI giving out more hp, or are people playing it safe for hyrdolock?

i went sri because of cost, and because i use a cobb ap. i use cobbs sri which they recommend and have maps for. i had a mscai but didnt feel a loss goin to sri. and i got tired o the polish piping. the only intakes cobb makes ots maps for iirc is the aem/mscai(same) and there own sri. so that was a huge factor for me ap compatibility since i dont use atr.

Maybe you should consider something like a Prius. That is if you don't want to lose your license for life. If you were getting in trouble with an Altima, you'll definitely be getting in trouble with this car.

^+1

i concur!!
and on the sri, i went with because it was cheaper!! but i just recently bought a cai!!
like chubbs said i don't really feel that much of a difference.

+2 and where are these vast amounts of performance parts you speak of? there are only a handful of companies working on this platform. since you already drive like an ass i suggest you get a moped.

as for the sri vs cai battle....use the search button

Or maybe an Insight

If you want a tuner car with a large aftermarket might I suggest the Civic Si or the new Genesis Coupe Turbo, the MS3 hates to be modded heavily and will show its displeasure by rewarding you with a blown engine.

since when did this guy say that he had problems with the police because he was driving like an ass?

this forum makes me laugh.

have fun with your speed3, man.

does the genesis have aftermarket stuff already? damn. and isn't the v6 mor powerfull anyway?

Yup Hyundai released a few models to tuners before they release the car to the public, just so they could have an aftermarket for parts. And yes the V6 is more powerful, then ours. but the 2.0L turbo has soooo much potential.

Blown engines lol(fu)

If the OP has had so much trouble with the GA police as to lose his license, he will be paying through the ass for insurance on a MS3.

Oh, and don't speed in Henry County GA, cops don't have any crime to stop, so they just hand out speeding tickets left and right.

i think the OP should just get a 370z.

and it's funny how i've owned the ms3 and a gsxr600 and i've only gotten speeding tickets on my slower miata and mz3 when i had them...knock on wood.

damnit, where the F is some wood!!!

as a former altima owner, ms3 is really not that much faster than the alty stock for stock. that vq35 engine is well made.
