I don't feel like taking a trip to my dealer. Is there any other coolant brand we can use that we can buy from our local auto store? I hear it is safe to use Peak Global Lifetime and Peak LongLife Antifreeze since both are silicate and phosphate free.

I'm at 4,4xx miles. Its been pretty hot here Fontana. Sometimes over 100F. Shes my DD so no suprise if i'm running low. Din't know I could order online. I'll be safe and use FL22. Thanks

Like 1/2 of a inch lol. Nah i'm fine. Closest dealer went out of business so i'll just go to the other one.

How low is it? Just add some water, distilled if you prefer.
adding anything but distilled water will contaminate the system... it will reduce coolant life and cause buildup!

if you have to use water, use distilled water.. just a little bit is ok even though its not good to mix water with FL22

Mine is about 1/4" below "Full". Guess I'll let it go for a while. I do have to wonder where it went, though. Heck, I might have lost two ounces. ;)

Oh well, very old post, but what the heck. The only other coolant that I know of is "Motorcraft Specialty Green Coolant". Part # VC-10-A. It is the same coolant, straight from Japan.

Going to revive this old thread because I need to top up a Mazda5 with FL22. Is the Motorcraft Specialty Green Coolant really an alternative?
