I was looking for you in the mirrors but I didn't see you.... nice!

I did see the giant shadow on the green wall though :(

nice pic though... if I was just glancing at it, I wouldn't have noticed.

The joys of using a polarizer. Plus I was far away when I took these. I was using the tele end of the lens so I was standing about 30 to 40 feet away

how come? were you trying to minimize the business of the background?

those portraits are killer. I love white backdrop portraits like that.

These were from a Ferrari show a while back.. I forgot my normal camera so I had to use my cell phone.

what do you guys think of this lens? I want to get a decent telephoto zoom for nature photography and other general use.

That's the same lens that came in my kit. Its good, but the glass isn't GREAT. You should be okay with nature photography, but for moving objects its a little slow and could be crisper. I'd recommend the 55-250 IS for the image stabilization and slightly better glass in it. I have yet to miss the extra 50mm of zoom.

Ya..something like a zoom lens, get one with IS. It's hard to hand hold unless you're shooting at fast shutter speeds and in pure daylight.

No actually, because the car is standing about 10 feet from the background and I didn't want any distortion in the pictures, I stand far away and take the pics. It's actually better. It's less distortion and it's more like a portrait. It's also more flattering to the subject and it generally gives a good DOF.
