The parking brake doesn't appear to be holding any more on hills, fortunately the automatic tranny stops the car from rolling forward more than a couple of inches, which ultimately can't be great for the transmission. The dealership claims the parking brake needs to be adjusted and wants $50 to do it.
The only set of rear brakes I have ever needed to adjust in any fashion were the rear drums on my 66 mustang. The CX-7 has 32K miles on it and I can't count how many cars I have owned with more than 32k miles (several in the 100K zone) that never needed the rear brakes adjusted, let alone the parking brake adjusted.
Anyone experience this or have the procedure to adjust them?
Many thanks
