Bose System Not Very Loud

I have a 2006 Speed6 with the factory 200W Bose system.

I'm a little dissapointed in the output volume. Compared to a 200w Bose system I put in a 3-series BMW, the output is extremely low.

When I crank the system all the way up, it seems to top out at an indicated "34" on the volume knob - then is says "MAX". On my home stereo system, I can limit the output to make sure my kids don't blow the speakers. Is there a similar volume limiter on the system somewhere that I cannot find?

Shall I just get used to it? (cheers)

Thanks,

Gary

i found that if you have the bass up too high it will get quieter after volume 28-30, i put a sub in a turned the bass way down and seems to be a good set up, but yes i went from having 6 nice component speakers run off a 650.4 amp and that was insane so this bose system doesn't come close to compairison, but i have gotten use to it. try more treble and less bass, if that doesn't satisfy you, then put in an aftmarket radio or a larger amp on the speakers
