Safe for Accessport?

I'm running the stage 1+mscai. I only had the intake with stock bov. I just installed my downpipe and was wondering if Im safe to run this map, or do I need to go back to the stock map. Also how bad would it be if I run a modded ms3 on economy mode?

Is DP catted or catless?

Probably best to simply ask Cobb which map they recommend. They have maps for the MSCAI and catted DP's I believe. I'm running stock tune, so I'm just going by memory from following the discussions. Maybe someone else can chime in. I'd go to Cobb and go with their recommendation.
 
u should be fine, its more of a problem if u run a high map without the supporting mods than running a lower stage map with more mods.. actually if u wanna no i talked to a cobb tuner out here and he said that if u dnt have an upgraded fuel pump u cant run more than a stage 1 93 map, cause the pump cant support the stage 2, and when u do run the stage2 the motor will knok nd if it keeps knoking it will blow.. thats wut he tld me nd it makes sence cause i ran a tage 2 with a dp and intake and it ran liek s***, an then i put the stage 1 and it ran good not perfect but good. put it this way my car made 297whp and 350wtq ont the satge 1 hitting boostcut.. tht was wit a full tubobak and intake though.. good luk man

The stage2 maps are made for people with downpipes although we try to steer people away from the catless systems, they can cause boost creep (not to be confused with a spike).

You can run the stage1 map if you like, but you are missing out on the performance gains that running a downpipe can offer.

Economy mode was meant for cars with a completely stock setup. I would advise against running that map. You would be slower than a civic!

haha....hey travis would it be ok to run stage 2 at the moment with just a downpipe or should I just wait to get my mid pipe and run stage 2 then. Granted I will have the stock exhaust
 
economy map will work on a fully bolted, meth injected car (lol). It's just very slow and honestly I don't see a point in it. It will stay in Closed loop the entire time... aka 13.X AFR with 13psi boost. Your foot is the best way to control gas mileage. Now, if we had realtime maps it wouldn't be so bad to switch to economy map every now and then or something, but with the flash time, and re-learning of fuel trims it just seems kinda pointless to me. Some don't like the 'jerkiness' of the OTS maps, but you can easily fix the throttle response in 1 or 2 tables in ATR...makes it very easy to drive and liveable.
 
The stage 2 map is designed for cars with a downpipe installed. You will be running the exactly correct map for your car with the Stage 2 MS CAI map installed.

hmmm..Think each car is different. I just installed the Cobb dp on my car couple days ago. Awesome mod btw :) And I was running stage 2..it pulled like a ***** ape..no prabs. with that :)...but my knock iwas in the high 2's so im back running the stage 1 v103 sf map. Bottom line is I need to run to surgeline and get custom tuned. I just wanna get a aftermarket intercooler drop in first before I go..but yeah knock wasnt to happy on my car..and I should have the perfect mods to run a off the shelf stage 2 map. go figure.(confused)
 
well my ap datalog tells me knocking and I dont honestly know exactly what knock sounds like..unless its the click click click sound i hear at higher rpm's..is that knock..I know when my car datalogs no knock idont hear the dam clicking lol..so coincidence? i dont know.
 
you dont hear the knock, knock means that for what ever reason you car is stutering, it may be dumping to much fuel so it just falls on tis face at WOT, it can be diff. reasons.. ur best bet is to get a good amount of parts and then get tuned, and dont beat on the car intill the tune, my tuner tells me that if it knocks alot consecutivly that it will blow.
 
I thought Knock was the rods making contact..power does not fall on its face..it just pulls and pulls and pulls...but yes...I drive like a granny for the most part and will continue to run on stage 1 and be carefull till my custom tune :)

nah u wnt hear anything, if ur rods were hitting then youd have a BIG problem lol,, yea alot of times I dnt feel anything either but it says its knocking, thats smart man, jc wit it till the tune, better safe than sorry
 
i have all mods besides the upgraded IC and exhaust mani with the stage 2 map and decided against my fp internals because the psi was fine. never got below 1500. no knock or anything. no knock more than normal cruise highway knock anyway. i say give it a try watch your parameters and see what it does. if it acts ****** up go to stage 1. mine runs great on stage 2. champion!!!!! WOOOOO!O!!!!!HOOOO!O!O!!!!!
