225/40/18's

I'm using a 225/45 on the stock wheel no problems at all. Personally, I won't run a 40 series on a 7" rim. Some are maybe they will have some input for you...

Ya 225/45 on the stockers. RE-01's. You can't get them anymore so you'll have to get RE-11's. Bridgestone btw

I'm on 225/40/18 on the stock rims. No problems with that set-up.
I'm running Federal 595 SS's.

Running the Kumho Ecsta XS's in 225x40x18 with absolutely NO issues, other than more grip than a monkey in a tree. (on Cobb springs)

Car pulls like a freight train - if you enjoy your wheelspin, don't buy the XS's!

DaNG. They are super expensive in a 235/40R18. I have a lot of saving up to do. .

Funksilver, I run 225/45s as well on the stock wheel - when carrying many passengers or luggage, my rear tires scrape the inside of the wheelwell when there are bumps/dips on the highway - do you have this problem?

I fitted 225/40 R18's on the stock 7" rim, I lost precision on steering zig zag is very bad, although they have a lot of grip braking or once inside a curve.

@ santo- what tires did you use? so far you are one of the few people reporting poor handling on 225's.. just curious as i'm looking to replace tires soon and was looking at going up to 225's.
