Low RPM rattle in Auto P5

Need some help ladies and gents. I've done a search for this and while I've found tons of threads on rattles and squeaks, none of them seem to match mine or they are inconclusive.

I hear a rattle/coffee grinder noise when accelerating from low RPMs. It is not super loud but loud enough to be noticeable especially with the stereo off. If disappears as the revs climb.

Though it's hard to pinpoint it, I think it's coming from the front of the car. I have no mods whatsoever.

I was thinking maybe the heatshield was loose under the hood but I'm not sure how to check that. OR maybe something is loose under the body.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

my j-pipe heat shield used to rattle at idle before it fell off...

mmm cancer :(

does it sound like metal on metal vibrations? or like something rattling in a can?

mine didnt quite sound like that, but there is so much that can rattle on these cars. my freakin side mirrors rattle!

My sunroof cover (the retracting door underneath the actual sunroof) bounces up and down on some types of rough pavement. It sounds a bit like the "storm" sound effect for a play which is done by shaking a big sheet of metal.

mounts seem to be fine. What is engine slop?

where the engine moves back and forth......i know that i saw my passenger side mount was torn.....and then a i could feel it move forwards and backwards....when i finally replaced all of them the front mount and the passenger side mount was completely ripped to multiple pieces and the other 2 were torn sooooo....

other than that or any of the '10' shields we have.....it's just a matter of going in and finding the rattle.....but at idle those would be the biggest things

shouldnt be any negative effects... unless you like to park on dry grass.

mine eventually fell off so....

i wouldnt go around removing them all though. find out which one is rattling. shouldnt be too difficult to figure out. if they wiggle at all... they are loose and would probably rattle.

my 2nd cat heat shield is rattling. I'm going to have the dealer take it off at next oil change to look inside - I have a feeling a rock or something is caught in it.
