there seems to be some problems with them, but I am not sure what, all I have been seeing is "there are issues with" or " I don't recommend because there were issues with" stuff like that.

i had an ATP replacement actuator in my car that gave up after 20K miles.... up until it started leaking, it held great boost, a steady 7 psi. Once i got the forge in as a replacement, on stock settings i will only hit 5 psi, and it won't hold that till redline, the boost decreases as the rpms increase. Even with a boost controller on, it will spike to about 8 psi, and then taper down even more quickly to end up at below 5 psi by the time i get anywhere near redline. I worked with forge a good bit trying to fix the problem and never came up with a solution. I personally would rather go with the ATP actuator knowing that i'll have to replace it sooner.

X2 on the boost leak issue, but the Forge unit is adjustable as far PSI goes but just swapping out the spring, and is also rebuildable if it ever breaks. I've never run an ATP unit so I can't compare, but in hind site I would have gone ATP and would have been OK replacing it sooner

thanx guys u saved me a headach...where can i find the atp wastegate????how about these Garrett (OEM) MAZDASPEED Protege Updated Adjustable Wastegate Actuator & Bracket Kit, r these pretty gud???

the ATP is your best bet. the issues with the forge have been resolved, and it is rebuildable, but I personally still will be replacing mine with an ATP when my stocker goes. Thus far, its holding strong at 87K miles...

ok thanx i guess atp it is!!i would have never thought atp was better then the forge due to the price differences but i appreciate ur help!!!!!!!!!!

yeah its not necessarily better, in that it doesn't really last very long...

the forge will probably last for a long time, but considering the way it functions i'd rather go with the ATP, even taking its lifespan into consideration.
