Hey, it's a long shot but I figure I might as well post here. I'm looking for an FC RX-7 ('86-'91). My preferemce would be an S5 ('89-'91) coupe but I would consider a convertible. Must be manual transmission! Can either be N/A or TII. I am mainly looking for unmolested cars that are in good condition. I have no delusions of a perfect RX-7 for $3000 but I know when a car has been taken care of. I am located in SW OH but I am willing to travel upwards of 200 mi.

Sadly yes, as with AutoTrader, Cars.com and Craigslist. There are only four RX-7's within 100 miles of me. Three are convertibles and only two (1 'vert and 1 GTU) are '89-'91. Unfortunately either the asking price is too high are the cars are beat!

n/a VERTs are SLOW.. and heavy... but man are they fun to drive.. I wish I still had my VERT.
i know they are slow.. i just love the look of them..
Where? I've looked at 3 of the 4 Rx-7's within 100 miles. The red '88 in Fairfield is beat to hell, the black '91 in Washington Court House is good, but too expensive and the '90 in Felicity is modded and needs lots of work. I'm currently looked at a '89 GXL in NoVA near where my fiance' lives.

I know someone who has an 86' Coupe with an RE swap.. He may sell it for a decent amount.. still not running but can be for about 3,000.
