Am I crazy?

:
2002 P5
Let me start by saying that I am a big Honda fan. I know you guys don't want to here that. Anyway, I have a friend who has a 2003 Civic SI in perfect cosmetic condition and 20k less miles who wants to trade even for my P5. His car is WAY faster, but needs struts. My car has all new suspension and is mechanically perfect. I just can't seem to do the trade. Am I a freak?

no your smart, i mean civics are great cars, and si models take it to a whole other level, but i dont think it would be worth it. plus civics are every where, p5s are special :)

keep the p5! i seriously considered the si as a top choice and i used to own 2 hondas and i enjoyed it but its nothing compared to a mazda in a more refined drive, plus i think P5s are freakin sexy and would prolly trade my day for it. and like flash said its special so keep it!!!

just my thought

dont do it....and in my opinion the o3 si wasnt the best si hondas made

a body of mine has a civic si... we just went to the track... basically the same speed.. well if you have intake pulleys header exhaust... but he also had a cold air intake.( but it looked like a hot air intake..)

Your car must be a lot faster than mine. His SI and my P5 aren't even close.

The 2003 Si is the fugly hatch with center console mounted manual shifter, which I hear sucks. It's 165hp, but it's an Accord engine, not a sweet, high reving Si powerplant. I like the seats, but otherwise, it's a reliable econo-hatch. Keep the P5.

I like the shifter and it is a RSX engine. But, I'll keep my P5.

man for me that would be a hard one. i personally love that year ha. i think our p5 still looks better but im such a huge fan of high horsepower n/a cars, especially four bangers. i would be in limbo for awhile over that one, a downside might be an increase in insurance if that bothers you

Really? Hmm, I recall reading in a mag that is was an Accord engine. Oh well.

Why not get an Impreza? AWD is good fun, and 165hp/tq is some good low down grunt. 4 wheel drifts ftw!

That generation Civic Si had the 2.0 K-series from the base model RSX. The Accord has a 2.4 K-series, which is nearly identical, but bigger.

This would be a tough choice for me. I love that gen Si, especially the shifter, but the P5 is a really good car.

the civic and the base rsx have a k20a3 which is a piece of junk motor unlike its brother motor the k20a2(rsx type s motor)

these motors are not fast and some would say not reliable

both the k20a3 and the k24a3(5 gen accord) make 160 hp both redheaded step children of the k20a(jdm 220hp motor)

with that said those civics are decent cars i almost bought one before the P5...go to honda-tech.com and research them before anything...also think about why those cars sold for 20k and now are going for about 5k
