Its really easy to learn!! Just put what little free time you have into messing around and look at other peoples stuff.
However, I did this in Lightroom 2 with a preset, so no PS required =)

Make the time. You can do anything you want. Everything I know and how I got to where I am today I learned on my own, no school. All I had was 3 years of studying Computer Information Systems, back then it was a business code called COBAL. No internet, no email, heck we just stepped out of the green monochrome monitor days. Haha.
