The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

There are signs all over the Pennsylvania turn pike that say "Slower traffic keep right". That's what I wish Ohio drivers would do. I agree with ucMP3, it drives me crazy when someone is in the "high speed lane" doing the same speed as the car next to them. But I understand if conditions are congested and whatnot.

Sport Compact Car Magazine had a cut-out in there a few years back that simply said "SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT" but mirror image so you could put it in your windshield and the slow-ass person in from of you blocking all the traffic could read it in their rearview mirror. I thought that was clever.

I have a new batch of Valve Covers in and I have 5 Available in various configurations for sale and ready to go.

FOr any Locals wanting a Powdercoated Valve COver...PM Me and I will give you a discounted price.

Locals only.
Thanks

Soooooo tempting. Especially for the local discount. I used to live in Dayton and worked at a powder coating shop called QuanCo in quality control. Every heard of it? But your covers do look amazing, and I would know! If they were greasy or paint still left on them there would be nasty "orange peel" or a star shaped blemish. But your valve covers look great. Your powder coater does a good job!

I'll probably be hitting you up next week or so.

Saw a Silver p5 w/ black rims and msp on 71S on my way to cleveland for the indians game, that anybody on here?

Wasn't me. But that cat with the silver P5 has good taste in body and wheel color. (wiggle)

meh. wednesdays suck cuz our manager is here until 11pm, and we have to deal with his crap. every other week he is gone by like 3pm (well before we are here)

How's work Jon?
Totally thought you were talking to me before realizing it made no sense at all (for you to be asking me about my work).

How's the Miata doing in the rain? It was a fun morning commute in the P5 to say the least.

Heh. She's a bit tail happy in the rain. 1st thru 3rd are essentially useless for trying to get up to speed if you pull out in front of someone. 4th and 5th will break loose on an onramp in boost.

Other than that, it's awesome! Hahaha.

What kind of tires are on there?

im really flipping bored! haha.. doesn anyone know any other MSP owners in south east ohio??? i NEVER see any of these cars down here!!

Hankook Ventus HRII's I'm pretty sure.

I haven't ever tried those, but some tires definately blow others out of the water (no pun intended) in regards to wet traction. Toyo's are pretty solid in the rain. I noticed a BIG difference switching back to Proxes4 after Kuhmo Ecsta ASX's. Granted I don't have the little beast that you do. (boom04)

Yeah, I know what you mean. That's what came on the car. I may go with some Yokahama Parada Spec II's for it. They're affordable with decent treadwear and traction for every day use. I've had a set on my Civic for 4 or 5 summers now.

I've been wanting to try some yokohamas for a little while now. The treadwear on the Proxes4 is a little low (320 I think) but the all around performance for the price is really good IMO. With those kuhmo's, if I went 70-75 on the highway in moderate rain I would literally hydroplane every once in a while... LOL not cool! It was raining lke crazy yesterday when I was driving out to trenton for a pool tournament and I was rollinnNN on some back roads! No slippage.

My Protege was running Falken Azenis RT-615s for the last few months. Parada Spec II's are 300 treadwear. I'll get another set of wheels and tires for Auto-X.
