The spacer is about 1/4" thick, even without it my pickup screen JUST touches the bottom of the pan.

You use RTV to seal the AWR pan, jsut like stock. It shouldn't leak if you do it right. Yes you can use more oil, but the biggest advantage is it keeps the oil in the pan where where it's needed. The stocker was WAY too prone to slosh and oil starvation around any corner.

Well today i did some shopping to start my new project

I've bought.

* AWR Deep Sump Oil Pan
* ARP Main Studs
* 4 new Mazda OEM Oil Squitters
* NSN Intake Manifold Spacer
* NSN Throttle Body Spacer

Finally my Performance pistons arrived today from Germany, this is how they look like....

Yea Maxx, I'm also getting a quote from a German company that does these people's Rallye Car brakes. i want some 14" front brakes, and maybe 13" for the rear, but it all deppends on price and if they can make my E-brake work for inspection purposes. also in the very near future and also according to the price the shops give me, they are going to work on my fenders to run on wider wheels and tires, i want to run like 265-40-18's in the rear and 255-40-18's up front with Racing lighter wheels..

You should just downgrade to 17 inch rims if you're going to race it. Lighter and less rotational mass. You can work the fenders to run 17 x 9 all 4 corners and run badass tires. You get better acceleration with the smaller wheel, and you get better grip with wider tires, and you get better braking as well and overall response.

If you stick to 18's, run the thicker tires up front since you're not rear wheel drive and the car has more weight on the front tires.

sweet man! Whats with the holes in the side of the piston?

to be honest with you i have no idea, all i know these are top notch german forged hi performance pistons.

Wssner High quality forged pistons are largely constructed of 4032 (T6) Alloy. As standard all Wssner pistons come with a special Moly coated skirt to aid lubrication keep piston noise to minimum. Each set is provided with matched piston rings and gudgeon pins.

Thats kind of the specs of them, these pistons are used in here in lots of rallye cars, touring car competition etc

my question is when are you going to get them to build me a engine? lol

Hahaha... Bro those pistons run for € 710, $ 950, according to my friend who is doing my car these are one of the best pistons out there for Hi Performance, they actually going to send them to this place where they do some other coatings for higher boost, friction and temperature resistance, something like Swain Tech coating..

no more Arias, CP or Wiseco Lets see how these bad boys do on my next build..

Are you doing anythign special to the rods to?

they sent them to their machine shop to also do something to them, ive heard of some coating for them as well, but im not sure.. Ive been busy my friend is taking care of everything- Wossner also makes rods, studs, head gaskets if not mistaken etc.

Those holes in the psiton are to supply the oil rings with enough oil. I ahte to say it man, but it does't look like there's enough clearance for your oil jets there. Have to get those pistons machined out further...

Thank you Maxx for your Advice, The performance shop that is doing my engine is taking care of every single possible detail on this build, They already sent the block crank, pistons, head etc to their machine shop to do the special coating to the Wossner pistons, to the Pauter rods, they are also doing some stuff to the head and overhead cams, they already made me the custom Quad-Metal racing bearings as well working on my 35R turbo for faster spooling and more power up top, according to them in aprox 3 weeks i'll have my Evil Son back on the road, I hope that i can get my IM from 505zoom before i put everything together, I'm adding a New Clutch and pressure plate, AWR oil pan, Toga HV oil pump, ARP head and main studs, new oil Jets, new vacuum hoses, front and rear main engine seals, all around new engine gaskets, drive axles tranny seals, new iridium plugs, new Redline Tranny oil and s*** load of stuff im forgetting right now to it.. i can't wait to be back at the road... This time we are basically finishing and doing better up what TBK Performance did to it in the past, let's see how it comes out this time..

Sounds good, but read:

DO NOT RUN IRRIDIUM SPARK PLUGS!!!

They run far too hot for a turbo engine. Use NGK BKR7E. Gap them to 28thou. You'll need to replace them about once a year, but they're only $2 per plug so it's worth it.
